Started getting the very general Cyberpunk 2077 has flatlined error on launching the game after the 1.12 update but hadn't launched the game for a few weeks so couldn't be sure if it was the update causing the issue..... Anyway turned out to be the very obvious cyber engine tweaks needed to be updated and it works great again now.
The point is I had tried all the complicated troubleshooting thinking it was something major, when it was a really easy fix. Reinstalling the game didn't fix it as you would think because I doesn't delete the plugins directory, as soon as I deleted that folder the game launched again.
Just thought I'd share this experience in case anyone else had the same issue, if you have played the game successfully for hundreds of hours and it suddenly stops working it could be something obvious like mods...
