fearless glitch or poor design?

I've been building some discard decks around fearless. So I've noticed that the card has a timer on it.

However after a turn this does not go away or trigger. I left the card on board a couple of turns and then my opponent removed the card, my next discard was not resurrected. So the card actually needs to stay on board for it to trigger. It should be reworded and the timer removed if the timer does not do anything.

It's not a timer. Likewise, CA spies also have a number on the card. It signifies a single use. Reusing the timer display is confusing, but it's not glitched or anything.
