Oh my...

Ciri in the game is *nothing* like the Ciri in the books o_O
(Caveat: I've just finished reading Baptism of Fire)

Indeed, in the books Ciri goes through the the most rapid period of change that I think most people do in their lives: coming of age. It makes perfect sense that she'd be nearly unrecognizable now. Geralt and Yeneffer said as much in the Palace at Vizima.

For the record, I think her child-version lined up with the way the early books described her quite faithfully.

Geralt isn't much like he is in the books either. In the books he's much more whiny and introspective, while in the games he's more of a kick-ass-and-take-names badass.

You should. I'm replaying TW3, and after finishing all the books there are so many references, events and characters from the novels that just flew right by me the first time I played the game.
