Patch 2.02

+
Hey all, could someone check if skill progression passives are fixed now? Deleted my save file to start from scratch when all of the major issues will be fixed.
This issue was mentioned in “what’s coming in to 2.02”, but I cannot find any mention about that in patch notes.

My game started despite all my mods still being active, although I did get a redscript warning, and of course some core mods don't work. But not having the game crash right out of the gate is a big plus. Here's hoping all the mods are quicker and easier to fix than with 2.0...

Heh...I see that CET and RED4ext are already updated...

Hey, thanks for pointing this out.
They edited patch notes, it wasn‘t there at the time of my message. Looks like someone from CDPR is actually reading this forum.
Still, looks like there are major issues in the game after 2.02, like net runner perks, weapons not showing up on wall and capasity shards seems still broken (need to test this myself to confirm) and much more. Preorder bonus still missing for Xbox users, etc.

A few days ago, "What's coming in Patch 2.02" announced the "key fixes and improvements" that were coming. There were 5 key fixes.
A few days later, patch 2.02 is out.
Strangely enough, 2 of the 5 "key fixes" aren't there anymore :
  • Fixed an issue where cyberware could get downgraded to Tier 1 after updating the game to 2.01.
  • Fixed skill progression passives.
I'm really confused : was the patch 2.02 modified just before being released, or is the list of changes ot this patch completely messed up ?
Either way, something doesn't feel right at all here.

I can see both of those issues listed on the Patch 2.02 release notes:

Still no fix for Path traced photo mode not working correctly on AMD GPUs? Shame.

What's the specific problem? I'm using an AMD GPU and noticed that when I take photos where it is a darker area that most of the lighting is gone and the photo is mostly in the dark. Is that the problem? I had to disable path traced photo mode because a large number of the photos end up dark like this on my 6700XT.

Doesn't seem like they've fixed the money imbalance issues. Quests are not giving the correct payouts and/or over-charging things. E.g. Nix said he'd pay you double what you pay for the spellbook, but the spellbook costs a lot more now and the money he repays you is less than the cost to buy! Stefan charged 44k for the braindance + 11k for the editor, and then "refunded" me 30k at the end. Ozob agreed to up the stake to 80k and it took my 80k, but when I won gave me 100k, meaning I only won 20k... Gary's "I'll do more than humble" contribution request was something like 9600 edities. The list goes on. The street bums want more money to give you the laptop than you'll make selling the Brancesi... Various jobs literally now end up costing you money to complete because they've upped all the costs but not the rewards.

Dunno if this is an issue that only I'm having, but it happened on my last playthrough and my current one, both new games since 2.0/PL release. Didn't have this problem on my 22 runs with 1.63 or earlier. Hope it's fixed but not listed.

Are there any updates on missing iconics at black market vendor? Both Volkodav and Scalpel were missed off by me and are nowhere to be retrieved/ purchased.

Unfortunately no, the prices are still messed up for quests as I just checked the very first Kabuki fight with the twins. 8000€$ to start the fight, but they give 20000€$ for some reason, when it should be 16k.

The apartment prices are fixed though, such as Northside apartment which asks for 10000€$, but actually took just 5000€$ in 2.01. Now it takes the proper 10k amount.

As for Garry, his quest increases the price by 100€$ for every level the player gains. So depending on how late the player does his quest, the prices go even higher than what one would pay Viktor (21k). I ended up paying Garry over 25000€$ total in the end :D

Posted this on the Steam announcement but not sure you guys actually read anything on Steam so:

Ok, fixing dupes and exploits are a good thing, but did you address the WHY people were doing these things? Really all you need to do is put crafting materials back into vendor stock. That was the biggest factor driving people into using the exploit seeing as how much now relies using crafting mats to upgrade.

The reasons you guys at CDPR gave for making everything scaling(even the stuff that doesn't make sense like skill checks) was that you didn't want players to feel like they need to grind and can play at their own pace...yet the necessity to grind to upgrade cyberware and iconics flies in the face of that reason.

This also goes along with a post I made here on these forums a week or 2 ago. You need to also allow us to purchase downgrades/lower tiers of cyberware after we hit the level thresholds for the new tiers to help offset the capacity costs for the iconic cyberware we come across in Phantom Liberty. It currently feels like playing Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde the video game with all the mixed messages the new gameplay systems are sending us. You don't want us to grind to experience the game, but you want us to grind to experience the game. You don't want us to rely on specific skill trees for every build by making specific skill trees mandatory. You don't want us to feel railroaded into particular playstyles by railroading us into specific playstyles.

It really isn't filling me with much confidence knowing that the person who made all of these mixed message design choices will be in charge of Project Orion. I want to play an RPG that simulates an approximation of the table-top experience this game originated from, not a Doom Boomer Shooter wearing the still bloody skin of Deus Ex Mankind Divided.

I've completed just about everything in the game, however the last 3 Dakota gigs are bugged? It must have been a week + in game where she still hasn't called me to enable them. It seems like the phone call timer on a lot of things is slow and/or bugged?

Also have a small suggestion. Can we get a BD for the Samurai Concert like with the Lizzy concert at the black sapphire?

In addition can you let us send Rogue a text message about the concert inviting her to it? With her appearing somewhere in the crowd during it? Thanks.

***Just completed the original ending. The rewards from 1.6 are complete garbage now lol, can you guys add a few new items as a true reward for completing that part of the game? One of them is just a completely blank item now.

Also ONE MORE THING. With the Crystal Palace ending, is there any way we can see an easter egg from So Mi if we sent her to the moon? Another text from an unknown number or something while we're at the afterlife or meeting with Mr Blue Eyes?

XBOX SERIES X: + than 50GB upgrade between base game and Phantom Liberty and.... game CAN´T START correctly because "a problem with DLC" continues... come on guys, really??????

I noticed no mentions of V's apartment fixes. Oh well.

1) Weapons wall is not fixed in the stash. Buildable iconics (Soverign for example) does not appear)
2) You can still lock yourself in the stash (close door - no open button), requiring a reload from save to get out.
