[Request]: Upscaler [XeSS 1.2, FSR 3] for Series X|S consoles

+
Hi CDPR,

As you guys work on the FSR 3 Frame Gen (and maybe upscaler update), can we add Xess 1.2 (DP4a) as an option for console gamers? Options exists for PC users to mod or add other upscalers as they please; moreover, it's been proven by many that XeSS 1.2 is a far superior at providing a higher quality upscaled image -with far less fizzle and shimmering, particularly while in motion; albeit at a 4-5% perfomance cost. Since Series X|S consoles support in4 and int8 ML acceleration via DirectML, I'm wondering if console gamers could get XeSS (DP4a) as an option. It'd be a fantastic console innovation as the first open source ML based upscaling solution used on a console.

Looking forward to playing again when you release the FSR 3 patch. Again, thanks a ton for your support of the game.

This is an absolute necessity. The game is borderline unplayable on series consoles
It keeps flickering and artifacting every few seconds
Cdpr seems to be ignoring this issue!

Framegen on console isn't that great:
- in quality mode: the native framerate is too low, adding framegen on it would be unplayable cause of input lag.
- in performance mode: useless, cause the goal of this mode is to get 60fps AND reduce input lag.

So why use it on PC ?
Your game already runs mostly at 60fps, or close to it (50+fps) with a 120+hz monitor.
It helps when your fps drops too much, make it less noticeable, but it's not a "performance boost", cause the input lag is higher (that's why native fps should already be close to 60fps and why it will never be used on competitive games).

Well XeSS is now at 1.3 and we're still waiting FSR 3.1 (upscaling). Shader Model 6.4 is required for XeSS and Xbox Series S|X supports Shader Model 6.7. So it's technically possible.

This seems like some light work; Bethesda just gave us additional display options for Starfield and Fallout 4 for consoles. Moreover, we get more ray tracing effects in GTA V -and the HDR image in GTA actually works correctly.

Cyberpunk on consoles really should have additional settings for different upscalers and more robust options for gamers with VRR displays. Apparently games can read the consoles display settings at the system level.

Most of the game bugs are fixed; there's just small quality of life requests that remain unresolved.
