The ballad of buck ravers quest is stuck

Jonny is not spwning near the guitaristi, the quest is stuck no matter what I try: (ie talk to the slurp shop, or the vinyl dealer did nothing for me) ANY IDEAS HERE?

Usually I would recommend loading a previous save game from before triggering the quest.
