I have this question and don't feel like opening a new topic. So, I am yet to hit GM (doubtful as I am not fond of grinding), but it says that i am currently Position: 538 on the Ladder. Does this means, that if I keep this position when end of the season comes, I'll get the shiny border that is AFTER the GM one or I need to hit said GM first?

Top 100 : 4421MMR
Top 1000: 4303 MMR
Top 10000: about 3945
Two seasons ago:
- Top 100 4419 mmr
- Top 1000 4306 mmr
- Top 10000 ~3973 mmr
- Top 100: 4422
- Top 1000: 4307
- Top 10000: 3988-3989
- Top 100: 4389
- Top 1000: 4302
- Top 10000 : 3972-3980
Can someone, please, enlighten me? I'm currently top 200 and yet to hit GM - will I get a shiny border? In the Rewards section it says you get a particular Border at 4300 MMR, but different, shinier Borders for positions in Rankings (Top 1000, for example). Seems contradictory.
I haven't been playing for a few months and wonder how much MMR I can expect to need in order to get into the top 10,000 on the ladder at the end of the month.
What about shiny boarders for those who were playing back when all the good players played (prior to the nerfs that made them leave the game) that are just now considering coming back? Let's look at this at multiple angles before we make a decision.
