Why wouldn't the male characters be able to do that too?
I would be disappointed if the option didn't come up at least once (I mean promising sex for information)
I also think it would be cool depending on how the relationship ended. that you might be able to call them up for a favor some day. for example say I dated Kathy who works at the DMV and I call in one day asking her thats its real important that I track down a license plate number ect.. does she feel concern for my plight and helps willingly or does she ask for a favor in return. or maybe she just likes to see you beg. either way it would be cool to see and it makes the romance option as way to add to your social network..as a reward or a punishment depending on how the relationship ended.

What i personally find engaging in romance in a game is being able to bond with characters in more ways than just through dialogue. Dragon Age and the recent The Outer Worlds (sorta) come to mind, you first have to select the correct choices to make the companion open up to you, at which point you will have to complete a task to earn their trust/make them willing to enter a relationship.
I think that enduring some hardship (the request) makes me feel like i'm actually building a bond and makes me more attached to them.
Sex being explicit or not i personally don't really care but something akin to The Witcher 3 would work to me, even better if you could chose to enable/disable explicit sex scenes in the menu.

They could, just not as often as the average joe is more obsessed by sex than it's female counterpart.

As a huge romantic I am hoping there is more complexity to relationships than just 'C'mere'. Though that almost magical moment where two people are just drawn to each other makes me giddy. I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised by what CDPR came up with.

Without complexity any Romance will be unrealistic. I imagine it as the NPC having a level of how attracted they are, or aren't, to our character. With modifiers such as how likely or unlikely they are to hook up with someone, or if they would only be interested in a 'serious' relationship. There should also be a RGN involved, because sometimes it just isn't the right moment. It could certainly add a fun dimension to the game, wooing that special person. Or just trying to hook up with everything that moves, if that's your bag. I'd definitely want the fade to black... at least as a select option, as suggested in a couple of comments.. I don't care about nudity or whatever, but I don't expect to be 'forced' into watching some cheap porn or something.
