the bilguts bothered me in the way that you cant spawn apex ones before you clear Theta...2

I killed probably a couple of dozen trying to get an apex, until I finally read a forum comment that they don't spawn until after Theta.

An air assault would have been awesome. Definitely better than the hint to climb up the leg, with me screaming at a screenful of legs, "which leg?!!".

Yeah I was like… how on earth should one upgrade all the new stuff without the apex ones… tried dozens as well until I noticed the questionmark at the overwrite terminal in your homebase wasn’t the waterwing… than i watched out for a core to overwrite ^^‘

For the last boss tho i thought the spectral gauntlet/phantomglove would have been more important like the launch trailer suggested : /

but overall I pretty much liked the dlc, jipp.

At one point in time, there was a mod to make your character look like Yen. Not sure if it's still up, or if it got ported over to the newer editions of the game.

Have you tried out the Mass Effect series? That is what I used to scratch the itch after Witcher 3. I was looking for another narrative driven adventure like that and it ended up hitting the right chord, at least for me.

A lot of people recommended Red Dead Redemption to me, but I legitimately just found that game extremely, extremely... extremely boring. But if the story hooks you in that might do the trick too!

And Dragon Age apparently has some of the same elements. I purchased Origins on sale and haven't tried it yet, but I hear it (unfortunately) has a ton of technical issues.

Thanks! Yes, i had played Mass effects, Dragon age, the German games "Drakensang" and "Drakensang. Am Fluss der Zeit", Skyrim, Oblivion...
So much games in the past.
But yes, I don't know exactly why, but " The Witcher 2" and "The Witcher 3" are epic in my opinion. And for relaxing my favorite stuff.

yeah good example here. didnt drag me in as well, cause of the setting. but true there are plenty rpgs and/or openworld games on the market. really good ones as well. but than its up for personal likings... anime/manga, drawn, illustrated or close to real life? whats important regarding the battle mechanics? ATB, round based, dynamic? FPV or TPV? story driffen? imersive? side content? choices? upgrade system? solo or online? old fantasy or scifi future?

Yeah - I think RDR2 and games like Cyberpunk/Witcher 3 show the divide in the gaming community as to what certain gamers want. RDR2 is very much a 'life sim' type of game and I cannot believe how boring I find that, but some people love it. I almost fell asleep riding around my horse from one point to another, putting a tire back on a wagon that broke down, brushing my horse, feeding my horse, doing all of the upkeep stuff and then the side quests just didn't grab me at all. Everything was 'realistic' to the point of being boring to me.

Where as the Cyberpunk/Witcher 3 are much more 'video games' than 'sims' of a certain era, which I tend to prefer. I'm glad it doesn't have all of that stuff, because I find that stuff to be boring... especially when it is forced. If I had to groom Roach, find food to feed him, do lengthy maintenance on my sword/armor/etc. and all of that stuff I'm sure The Witcher 3 would have been much less interesting to me. I already thought it was kind of meh that you had to do all of the stuff with the oils rather than some of that automating itself more.

In short - I want the video games I play to be entertaining. I care more about having fun than being immersed. Some people feel the exact opposite though and that is cool.

Most of the issues are related to a memory leak (on Win 10), you can download the 4GB patch and enjoy one of the best RPGs ever made.

Got a few on the go right now, nothing holding my attention very well, unfortunately.

1. Othercide. Boasts a neat visual style and okay turn-based combat it got repetitive, grindy and boring very quickly. Also rogue elements. I'm not sure why, but I keep ending up buying indies with lovely artstyles and rogue elements and almost every time I end up bouncing off the rogue bits pretty hard (also: Darkest Dungeon, Star Renegades, etc., etc.)

2. The Ascent. Was recommended to me constantly, bored after the second mission.

3. Assault Suits Valken: Declassified. Re-release of a SNES classic (aka Cybernator) and an old favourite, unfortunately I'm just as terrible at it as I was in 1992.

I have similair taste like you when it comes to RPG's, still enjoyed Red Dead Redemption 2. I can recommend Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition which is an older game. Good story driven game with a fair open world but a little lacking in RPG elements, but can give you a solid good few hours to get through.

Pick up Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Definitive Edition on sale.
Started on "Easy", turn based combat and indestructible kingdom for now... Time to familiarize myself with the game mechanics and probably another run on a "higher" difficulty depending on how it goes.
