When starting the game after 2.01 patch, the game won't let you through the initial screen

I know the title might be odd, but here are the details:
A few days ago CP2077 crashed every time I tried to start it from a shortcut that was automatically created by the GOG launcher. I had to manually go to CP2077 files and start the game via `REDprelauncher.exe`.
Now there is a different issue. When you go past the initial cutscene ("Hellooo NIGHT CITY! [...] Well, Pacifica is still Pacifica.") you cannot go further.
Pressing the spacebar does nothing. You can skip cutscene by pressing space but you can't go to the actual game.

The only fix I had is to verify the integrity of the files but doing that every time I start a game is... frustrating.

Yeah, the whole loading sequence takes forever and it also takes two timed spaces. Guess that need for interaction is what can be taken out.
