Huh, never saw that one before...
I've seen it before but I do have to agree I haven't seen it in a while.

Nice joke about dickDepends on the dick... some of em you shouldn't see at any age, really.
But yeah, something something age ratings, something something retailers won't carry an AO rated game.
Although... I don't feel like the game shied away from sexual content, personally - it was there when it made sense, imo, and the world is filled with sexual advertisements, shops etc. Sure, you can't interact always with it, just like you can't always interact with other ads/shops that don't serve gameplay purposes, but it seemed enough to me to convey the idea of the state of oversexualization in the game's world.

True, that change i noticed...Noticed something else that appears to have changed in one of the patches (but not mentioned in the patch notes): they've fixed the immersion breaking showering in your underwear problem... by making it so you can't look down far enough to see your own body when you're in the shower. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the case originally, and FFS CDPR, this is not the right way to solve that particular problem!
Imho they should've added all the steamy content, let the people do what they want with it. Let it spice up their experience, let them "enjoy" it however they want. Just because there might be lots of nudity or potential options to get "sexy scenes" doesn't make it porn or something you can just brush off with "stuff for horny teens".
I wonder why they censor it or cut this "steamy content" even further?
I mean, what for god's sake should change with the rating?
Isn't it already an 18+ adult targeted game?
It's a Shame, but modders have already stepped up, Whatever ever CDPR wont add modders will fix
Sad though.
It was already rated for the nudity and sexual content, which is why censorship does not make any sense. My only theory is they are doing this for the streamers: maybe they are not turning the in-game censor on, but I don't know, I don't watch streamers. If that's the case, CDPR should be prioritizing the customers instead of streamers.

Game is weak, nothing kept what was promised, really nothing. I can´t recommend this game, also cuz i miss the adult stuff in that game.
Can they pls at least remove the adult advertisements and adult shops in the game and replace it with Flower or Sports Shops. And advertisements they should replace with kids advertisements a la fortnite or spongebob, teletubbies.
If not full, then add nothing, such half-half solutions is only a reminder that we adults are placeholders for the kiddies as coming customers. So we adults can never enjoy a quality AAA Game which contains all: quality content, story, violence, music and sex, all placed in an open world.
i hope at least they let have the programmcodes or what is needed for the guys on nexusmods and loverslab.
For example, if u compare Skyrim with all the mods, u think, damn, is that game new? (there are also now new fight-mechanics, and double wielding animations possible)

Personally I don't care, im not easily offended or shocked by these things being in games. I like RPG games and in my opinion to get the best experience out of them the game and whatever lore they are build on need to match. That doesn't mean that CP should have insane amount of porn or sex in it, but that it should be natural integrated into it to help build up this world. With the right tools modders can do it and, hey, if that's your cup o' tea go ahead and download that mod. I ain't judging. To expect it in a triple A game, which would earn it an AO rating, is ludicrous.
from a development perspective that's not realistic. Also it's not just the US...China, Japan...numerous other countries would ban the hell out of it or shift the rating out of profitable range. Even GTA doesn't push the limit and that's what they market themselves as. I'm not sure why it's even necessary, I'm not playing a game for sex. I'm sure there are games out there for those who need itscared of us rating system is my guess. its fine to have exploding heads, but to many nipples and it gets slapped with the restricted rating and baned from advertising.
very annoying to have it tailored for nutjob us moral around globe. after all, games got their special eu nutjob versions with green blood and all that for decades. why not have a family friendly sfw version of the game with splodin heads but no nipples for the usa, and a version that is not selfcensored for the rest of the world?
We can only hope and pray that CDPR will see that this route would actually add life to the game.As a modder myself, I don't see that as a bad thing.
I know its an issue in regards to all the ratings etc. But I don't know if it actually makes a difference whether you have one sexy thing or multiple? Meaning a game like Mass effect, uses pretty much the same approach as CP, but is not a universe where sex is important, its purely there for the gimmick as I see it, its doesn't enhance the Mass effect universe in anyway, if that makes sense. But let's imagine that you could really go nuts in it with all characters, would it have been given another rating? I don't know exactly how it works, but I assume that it wouldn't make a huge difference, given you have the naked girl in the bathtub and those being cut up by the people that harvest cyberware in the beginning. Besides a single cut scene I think, you don't really see anything that is remotely matching those, at least not what I have seen in my 125 hours playthrough.
Ridiculous comment. The cyberpunk genre doesn't have everyone walking around naked. Also followed the genre for years and that has NEVER been how its's portrayed. In fact in most cases where nudity is used in cyberpunk, especially with the protagonist, it's done to highlight the issues permeating the world like addiction or the human consciousness but not in an overtly sexual way. CP2077 does the very same thing in it's exploration of Brain dance. You may be 30 but your perspective seems to be very much of a teenager. What you're asking for makes no sense as a business and no reputable developer would ever go there. Maybe someone doing it in their free time for someone to jerk off to but otherwise that doesn't make sense nor is it essential for a story based game.Dont know how many teenagers actually got this game, but I as a 30 years old, married long time cyberpunk player (I've played the 2020 table top more than any of you had played 2077) was expecting (as it was advertised) an adult game for adults, that stays true to cyberpunk genre and to 2020 tt-rpg. So far only 1/3 of that was fulfilled.
I could care less about the amount of scenes, but silently patching clothes on strippers, covering nipples with tape and removing most of highly suggestive adds really feels like slap to the face. Don't even mention the weirdness of being naked in the inventory and wearing undies in the shower. V's crotch gotta smell like some teenagers' tent in the festival area.
It goes well against immersion and one of the cornerstones of cyberpunk genre. Not the bigest stone, but nonetheless. If you are not making a cyberpunk game, then don't name it as such.
What I really wish to see is an official statement of why did they do it and are there any plans to put those things back. I've read some similar threads here and elsewhere, but they are 99% just wild guesses and all sorts of speculations. Almost nothing concrete, except that the partial nudity covering panties are working as intented.
