"V will have only one apartmant in the game." - Kasia Redesuik (gamestar.de interview)

It is immersion breaking and a big disappointment. I can't imagine owning the same apartment all the time without a possibility to even customize it when the whole purpose of the game is levelling up higher in the ranks of this world as a mercenary, so naturally you will have more money to buy them, you will travel more around 6 districts, I can't imagine not owning at least one apartment in each of them?

It is probably one of the easiest parts of the development in my opinion, literally a static room with mostly static objects. Even GTA San Andreas has this.

"V will only have one apartment and stay there. [...] You have an apartment and you can put different vehicles in your garage, but unfortunately there is no way to decorate your apartment."

I'd actually prefer that V just has one apartment. How long of time frame does the game span? Most people don't move more often than every few years. If the game takes place within a year or less, it totally makes sense for V to just have had one apartment during that time frame.

Not that I'm against customization... far from it. The more you can customize that apartment, the better.

I would rather have an option to buy/rent more apartments which is more believable because V is probably always on the run and having one apartment should be dangerous! You are an easy target when your location is known all the time. When I would have to choose between having a possibility to own/book multiple apartments or decorating them, I always choose multiple apartments.

We will have 6 districts and possibly a huge map. How do you expect me to go back to the same place all the time to save a game or something when I don't want to fast travel? It is immersion breaking and a big disappointment for many different reasons if it's true.

Houses and own apartments are so over-used, what if we could stay in hotels? Smash the hotel room or party it down, sounds more fun to me.

Havent thought about this, would be a fun alternative, but where could u store your vehicles?

However im really bummed not being able to own a penthouse in the later parts of the game

Parking slots? Top end hotels has garages?

V doesnt look a guy who wants to own multiple houses, imho. More like a drifter type of guy. I believe Final Fantasy had hotels, but you couldnt go inside or do anything fun with them.

Alright I can be ok with one apartment. But some upgrading or customizing it would be really great. Something like Sleeping Dogs had it. You would just found someone on the street selling sofa or hifi tower or AC or I don't know what else.

And hotels are good idea too. You would just leave the car infront or at some parking spot. But it can't dissapear when you go sleep like in some games hehe.

Hmm I guess I could live ith the option to rent hotels and park one car outside and have your other vehicles at the appartment. Certainly only one housing option would be a bummer

I want hotels, call some girls, booze and friends etc. If Hotel has casino or something like that, you could go there or disco. Or do you wanna pick a hotel with excellent food?

I prefer owning multiple apartments/booking hotel rooms than decorating one apartment when I need to cut corners and choose between.

It is dangerous for V to stay in one place all the time, it makes you an easy target. I wanted to have an apartment in the biggest skyscraper and watch the Night City at night. What happened to the last year demo promise suddenly? It can't be that hard to implement when GTA has this since Vice City.

It's by far my biggest disappointment with the game so far. When i first read that we will have multiple apartments I thought it was a natural development from the Corvo Bianco vineyard from Witcher 3 Blood and Wine dlc. They introduced housing in a story driven rpg with a fixed protagonist with that protagonist being permanently "on the road" because of his profession as a monster slayer. I fully expected the housing system being expanded in more sandboxy rpg with a customizable protagonist. Now I read that it have been basically a downgrade to the vineyard, as there is not even any customization of the apartment. It made so much sense to have several housing possibilities as a way to portray V's raise in status and power and it would have been a good way to deal with a common rpg problem- the player having too much money and nothing to spend it on. I'm sure there is a good chance that a dlc will introduce additional apartments but it won't be the same not having it during the first playthrough. I hope CDPR reconsiders. This is a really big feature for a lot of people .

I remember that the house customization feature was quite applauded (even after being fairly restrictive in terms of customization) in blood and wine, so I imagined that CDPR would only further expand on this in their future games.

Not a dealbreaker, but still quite strange nevertheless.

At first i was thinking V is an alias and nobody knows where you live ( maybe Jackie knows ) but if the first demo is still cannon the Scavs found Jackie's car pretty quickly .

Out of the two, I'd prefer to get customisation of one apartment over multi-location.

I would love to have both, but I'm not gonna change my opinion about the game if that's not available on launch (or at all).
