I have a problem with activation. I get an error telling me that the game can not connect to the server to activate.

What should I do? I can't play like that.

I`m assuming you don`t have any patches installed . You need only the patches listed
0-> 1.35 - http://en.thewitcher.com/patch1-35/
1.35->2.0 - http://en.thewitcher.com/patch2/
Then after patching register using your forum login info and try the game .
