Important Update

+

Dear gamers,

First of all, we would like to start by apologizing to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase. We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Second, we will fix bugs and crashes, and improve the overall experience. The first round of updates has just been released and the next one is coming within the next 7 days. Expect more, as we will update frequently whenever new improvements are ready. After the holidays, we’ll continue working — we’ll release two large patches starting with Patch #1 in January. This will be followed by Patch #2 in February. Together these should fix the most prominent problems gamers are facing on last-gen consoles. We will be informing you about the contents of each patch ahead of their release. They won't make the game on last-gen look like it’s running on a high-spec PC or next-gen console, but it will be closer to that experience than it is now.

Finally, we would always like everyone who buys our games to be satisfied with their purchase. We would appreciate it if you would give us a chance, but if you are not pleased with the game on your console and don’t want to wait for updates, you can opt to refund your copy. For copies purchased digitally, please use the refund system of PSN or Xbox respectively. For boxed versions, please first try to get a refund at the store where you bought the game. Should this not be possible, please contact us at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com and we will do our best to help you. Starting from today, you can contact us for a week up until December 21st, 2020.

P.S. PC gamers will also be getting regular updates and fixes improving the game.

I am extremely happy with and very proud of what you all have accomplished here! Wow doesn't even begin to express. I'm running this mind blowing creation of yours on an HP Spectre laptop at 1080P and over to much delight. I've noticed Geforce Now doesn't even make the game look better than me just running it locally. My suggestion to the many folks repeatedly complaining.. get a PC of you want to thoroughly enjoy this masterpiece! PC's have ALWAYS been for the true gamers since the late 80's who dearly desire and thoroughly enjoy pushing the boundaries of how gorgeous a game can look/perform. Yes I have an i7, 16gb of ram, a 4gb dedicated Nvidia card and SSD but guess what? No complaints here after over 30 hours of gameplay. I'd imagine my girlfriend would prefer it not be so enjoyable but I can't imagine any other drawback. Kerp up the very amazing work team and thank you so much for this!!!

Well i for once think you guys did an absolute banger of a job and still are. Sure its a bit of a buggy mess but i am hella impressed. And all things considered 22 hours in i am absolutely, genuinely happy that i pre-purchased it. I'm sure over time you'll get the kinks and bugs sorted any the haters can do what they do best...

Ask a PC gamer if you can play ANY modern day title with less than 16 GB of RAM for the CPU alone? The answer is No. You need at least 16 GB. And you have half of that for both the CPU and GPU to share on PS4 Pro
Are you seriously asking paying customers why do they think that a product they have paid for should work on the system for which the product has been sold? It's not console player's business to worry about how will CDPR make a game run on a hardware it is being sold for, the game has been marketed and released for "last-gen" consoles, so it is a reasonable expectation for gamers on those consoles to get a working product. Nobody is asking for the game to look the same way it does on a high-end PC, but people want to have an OK experience at least.

Sincerely, a PC gamer with a "high-end" PC

You don't even meet the recommended GPU specs... So your not getting a playable experience.

Oh, you mean those specs that are invalid? I have a Ryzen 3700x, GTX980, and 32GB Ram

I meet the recommended somewhat, albeit the 980 has only 4GB of Vram where 1060 has 6GB VRAM, and that's where it probably goes wrong

And I don't expect to run everything on ultra, of course, that wasn't my intention anyway, but if I have to set almost everything to low, and 5 settings to be precise are on (Subsurface scattering quality, Color precision, mirror quality, Level of detail, and texture quality) are on medium, and even had to enable Dynamic CAS to get it playable

OK, I don't care about the patches though...I mean I care about the patches and all (support is good), but where's my next gen update for the ps5? No one heeded my words back in the day about no console gameplay, so now I AM asking, where is the next gen update for the ps5? FYI, I've been a fan of the company since 2006.

WHERE IS THE NEXT GEN PATCH UPDATE?

Next year is when they stated next Gen will be. That's the last update

I don't have room for a PC so that's out of the question and I wasnt able to get a Ps5. So far I'm extremely disappointed with the game. I semi enjoyed the first 15 hours if you ignore the fps drops, glitches and crashes but what really hurt was watching others game on it and making me realize how I'm playing at 144p and they are in 1080... I love the game and I really don't want to refund it but it just sucks that I'm going to put it off until I can get my hands on a next gen console. Fallout 76 flashbacks all over again. Definitely quitting my habit of pre ordering games.

The game is fantastic, and runs beautifully on Stadia. My roommate and I have been talking about this game since it was announced and it did not disappoint. I understand the issues last gen consoles have, but all bugs, glitches and setbacks considered, this games is truly impressive. From the story and combat system, to the small details. Conversations, news stories that fit to the story line, the way the pavement looks in the rain, npcs flicking through actual pages on tablets when they walk through the city. It feels so real. So many thoughtful details. Thank you for such a beautiful game that has no rival.

The game is cool and all but I can't get into it when the flow of everything turns to absolute crap because the aim is so bad. Actually, it's not just bad aim. Literally looking around feels like crap on my ps4 pro.

I'm an avid FPS player so I notice anything little and no it's not like I can't kill anything. I'm not having trouble completing the game but the bad aim makes me want to stop playing because it's so noticeable and frustrating just to shoot.
You sure your a FPS player lol because no can kill things just fine.

However this isn't a FPS games but a RPG so they tend to have meh aiming anyways and also there are settings have you tried changing them?

I play on a playstation 4 pro and non of the controls connected to R1 is working. So I'm currently stuck on the information mission during the introduction to brain dance and I can't switch to audio recording because R1 dosent work at all. So now I can't continue with this character because I can't use R1 button. I'm so frustrated

Just so i can remind CD Project Red, i pre-ordered the game for Xbox One X last year, the Collector's Edition on a retail store near my location.

This year i also aquired a Xbox One X Cyberpunk themed edition, remember that?

Please understand the frustration of not having a great experience after spending so much money on this, the game was marketed for PS4, PC and Xbox....for years, not PS5 or Series X/S.

Its the first time i feel so frustrated with a purchase, really.

The game is getting a lot of hate but is actually excellent. on track to be my favorite game ever.
Well. That or gwent.

This is fantastic to see acknowledgement and to see that they are working on it! This is why I love these guys, I can at least trust that they'll own up to their mistakes. And as someone who plays on the base PS4, I can say that the hotfix did improve things. There's still more that can be improved upon, but that's what they're working on. And as for making the console versions look and perform like PC: That isn't necessary, hell if it just looked and performed like the 2018 45min demo I'd personally be more than happy. I look forward to continuing to explore Night City!

That's great and all, but what about purchases made on Steam? PC users are also having lots of similar issues. Are we able to write to that e-mail if Greedy Valve denies a refund request?

As much as I hope the game will improve, I can no longer blindly trust CDPR moving forward, and that is a result of your own actions. I have no doubt you'll fix various bugs, crashes, and performance issues, but core issues like AI (walking and driving, cops), an immersive world (i.e. more buildings you can enter, mini-games or casino/gambling, billards or darts, food vendors that are usable with more than 2-3 repeated items for sale, ability to get more tats and change them and hairstyles after the character is made, more romance options, etc) is going to be a very tall order and if that is never provided, then you've completely failed on delivering the game you promised ("next gen in open world adventure" because right now, it's nowhere near that and games that are now 5-10 years old have long hit that mark).

I wish you luck, please don't let us down again.

Is the Xbox Series X getting a graphic update to be true 4k with HDR, and ray tracing enabled or any other sliders or settings to enable the full beauty of the game? I would also like to say I love this game and the hard work put into it. Please give my best to the team and they made a truly immersive game. I have been waiting for this game forever. I would like to make one request if the text dialog that we choose can be changed from Yellow/Blue to Green and another color. I find the Yellow just doesn't show up well with most of the backgrounds. Anyone that is running first gen consoles I can only imagine the disappointment this has caused with game play. The fact that Xbox and PS was used loosely and would work is not good thing to say. I hope if anything a larger download that fixes graphical issues and adds enjoyment and stability to the game consoles. This should be the focus to gain their trust back.
