I don't think it's always conscious collusion. These outlets are in competition, after all. I think a lot of it is simply groupthink. They don't know anyone who doesn't think like they do, so they can only imagine a different view as hostile, reactionary, uncivilized, etc.Which is why I've felt the debate needed to graduate from the gaming sphere months ago, but maybe it's to the media's advantage to keep it there? I'm trying not to be too conspiratorial about it. I don't like lumping 'the media' together either, but I'm not sure what other term to use.

In GamerGate that type are the worst offenders, the ones driving coverage that the others are parroting.
About the CH Sommers video, it gets more dull and repetitive as it goes on. I think you get the most important things in the first five or ten minutes.
