The Triss content and the inconsistency of our romance's choice

We are aligned in our disdain for the PC police and I do completely agree with you. I'd also like a return to complete artistic freedom and for them to ignore the extremely prude american way of media creation/content. I don't however think this is the place to discuss that.

The sex scenes and just romance in general in the Witcher 3 is much more toned down, and not very drawn out, as if catering to a certain vocal minority. What's worse, almost all the scenes are reused copy/pastes of having sex with a prostitute. (not including the very mild foreplay dialogues)
It's very underwhelming and feels lazy. There's a slideshow porn feel to the scenes, unlike the great direction and artistic value that added depth to the characters in The Witcher 2. Remember that defining moment of Triss in the secluded pool? (What happened to those 16 hours of recorded motion caps?)
And what's even worse than that, is they all pretty much share identical body models with the same pair of tits! Did nobody notice this? Triss had a boob job and body change since we last met her. Apparently she wanted to look like every other prostitute. So did Yen. Oh and Keira. The only unique body type are... old people..and the chubby girls (that have identical faces and bodies) in the bath house. Furthermore, we're now afraid to show pubic hair. Something is going on here, and I don't like it.

I absolutely agree. In a world of violence and atrocities, sex in the game should be a humanizing element, not something done as an afterthought.

And Triss looking the same as everyone else? It's book and game lore that she's an utter bombshell, so taking that away from her does detract from her character, Geralt's quip about her waist or not.

First of all I need to say it is a very good and solid game. With a great atmosphere but ... for me as it is now it is not finished in some parts (and the Triss part is one of them).
The good thing is the main Story is finished and the endings are very good. Not like other games. So I was not frustrated after the game but disappointed.



I'm with you that Yen needs to be introduce, but why in this harsh way. Why not with a flashback scene as they meet the first time hunting the dragon ... or as she meet Ciri (a very linear quest with no much choices).
So you get both Ciri and Yen better introduced. And to be honest why not the choice at the start being more interested on Yen, or more on Triss.
Up to this choice Triss react in another way when you meet her. And chose later the game as it is now, who it will be. And some more lines of conversations for Triss

Of course that would mean more work but to be honest to choose between a game 100% finished and 90 or 95% like it feels now I prefer to wait 6 month more and get the 100 % or 105 % and not 90 %.
And I am sorry to say this abou this real good game but ... somehow it feels like there was space left so that there is enough space for modders to add content or for DLC content. But this was hopefully not the intention even if it feels for me like this.



I totally agree because it could not be the job of modders to made the main persons of the game better and more interesting (Yen, Ciri and for me more important Triss).
Mods for more monster slayer quest or to rescue persons maybe based on some novells, swords, amors and so on yes please as much as modders can do, but the main persons ... very difficult and to be honest I m lazy with reading and to get the very good voices on the quests for the main persons or other content from modders is for modder impossible!

So lets see what will come ... I hope the best but expecte not really much ... we'll see ...

PS: I hope that for the next 2 or 3 years every 3 or 6 month comes and extension like the one which is announced for october. So let the game never stop

PPS: I palyed the games and also read the books and I never liked Yen and I will never like her ... thats why I was happy to choose Triss in the Games. But I got really disappointed what and how it was in Witcher 3 and there is no connection to the great awesome undescribable work in Witcher 2.

I haven't gotten far enough to romance Triss, but yeah, she was a bombshell in TW2. It'd be stupid for them to change her body in TW3.

One thing I do prefer about Triss appearance over W2 is her face. That cute beautifully detailed face, oh and they eyes! hnnngg. CDPR did such a good job with their face models.

Actually I was told in a 3d forum that CDPR outsourced everything but their face models which is done in house (when they were doing characters) - If a dev reading this could confirm/deny would be great!

I also manage to reach the end of the game (chose Triss romance because of the past in TW2) and must you all agree. After the final scene in the lighthouse, where Triss says, that she was waiting for this one momant over several months (regardless of the following sex scene), I thought "YES, you've got her" and wanted to see her next behavior after this point to Yen and Gerald . To be honest, I ran after this point through the whole game whithout doing any side quest only to see what will be happen next to them.

But (apart from the dialog, where Yen is throwing her bed out of the window, after she heards of Triss and Gerald and the small cutscene with the future in the tavern) there is nothing else. No interactions, no dialogues. It feels like she were removed from the game after the lighthouse scene. At the last part of the game I caught myself to play again the given game story and all decisions of Yen (she struck me as very arrogant and selfish).

At the end I was very disappointed to see that there were no more interaction with Triss, Yen or Ciri.

Also hope for more DLC romances with Triss and Yen in the future.

Yeah, that's true. When ever an character mentions Yen, and Geralt. You can't tell them that you're with Triss.

Just joined because I beat the game and I'm broken hearted and feeling ripped off because the way Triss was handled. This is the first time I am hoping content was ripped out to be resold as DLC. As soon as I started noticing she was basically finished I lost interest in finishing the game and I blew through the last half of game 20 hours. I really have no interest in playing a version with Yennifer as my love interest because I have already dated a crone in real life and have no interest in dating one in a video game.

Yeah, that's true. When ever an character mentions Yen, and Geralt. You can't tell them that you're with Triss.

To be fair, I recall once I was able to deny Geralt's romantically involved with Yen in the game, but once in a but-load of other times when you can't say "f**k you, Triss is my only shinning star" to all these characters assuming you are with Yen is just disappointing.. very disappointing.

I'm getting annoyed again thinking about all of this, how literally no impact what so ever Geralt&Triss relationship has on the story and other characters just doesn't recognize it in the slightest! It should have been such a hot topic, characters, especially those who know Geralt before the amnesia and know about the Djinn wish, who know how much Yen meant to Geralt should have been impatient to bring it up and understand how Triss stole his heart, and EVEN MORE SO WHEN THE DJINN WISH IS BROKEN!!!

Every NPC ingame has more space than Triss, this part of witcher serie is the weakest one, Triss apearance seriosely that low ??? All the time saying only yes or what. Sex with girls in witcher books is by feelings out of relations, not brothels payed. i have suggestion, remake part two, add some stuff to it and keep the spirit - itll work, this part 3 is just big mess and has nothing togedher with Witcher books. Sorry to say that Shaedhen, but no DLC or aditional content can fix this.
