Graphics freeze / Crash to desktop

Hello

First of all, thanks CDRP for such an inspiring game, can't wait to begin playing it, BUT... I have been battling this issue since launch day, following the FAQs, tweaks, tips, tricks, first aid kits and not a single fix works.

The issue:
Graphics is freezing at random locations (cut scene, fight, running), sound and actions continue in background, pressing keys on my keyboard brings me back to desktop. This have happened about 30 times.
I have just made it through the tutorial and made my way to the inn, since the crash happens 1-7 mins while in the game.
This have been the same in all the patches.

What I've done outside the game:
-Clean install of nvidia drivers 352.86
-Removing MSI Afterburner
-Removing Geforce Experience
-Restoring custom clocks CPU/GPU
-Running only with 1 monitor connected
-Installing latest .NET 4.5.1 updates
-Installing latest Visual C++ updates for 2005,2008,2010,2012,2013
-Installing DirectX updates
-Disabling the Nvidia streamer service
-New shortcut to witcher3.exe
-Running administrator mode
-Disabled all other programs before running the game

Nvidia control panel:
-Restored settings
-Power management: Prefer maximum performance

Inside the game:
-Full screen
-Framerate unlimited
-VSYNC/GSYNC off
-Running with minimal settings
-Running with ultra settings

My System:
Win 8.1 Pro
i7-4770K
GTX680 -SLI
16GB RAM
The Witcher 3 -1.04
More details in the attached dxdiag

Where do I go next? Should I sit around wait for 1.05 or are there suggestions for more things to try?

This is what the crash looks like (see attached file for full info).

Have the same problems (crash to desktop every 15-20 minutes or after i die and the gfame try to load last saved game)

Same problem. It crashes 15 times a day and i dont know what i'm doing wrong. all of my friends play the game without any issues...

Some things have "fixed" my prolbems in the way, that I can play at least 30-45 min before it crashes. SO I save often and just load in the game again. But it's really, really annoying over time. Especially when I have to hear that Storyteller everytime I have to load in.

It seems I'm not alone with this issue... but is it confirmed that CDRP are working on some kind of fix?

For everyone
Disable MSI or EVGA programs (that tweak, OC or run the overlay
Disable Shadowplay
Try unlimited frames in game for SLI
Try 30 FPS in game for lower ended cards.
Make sure hairworks is off
Try the latest and previous drivers
Check if the SLI is using both cards if not you need to force it in nvidia.
If you have a card that's OC'ed you have to turn it off
If you have PCI Slot , powersave, idle, or cool and quiet you need to turn it off
3rd party programs like ipad second screen cause crashes
Try turning up the fans if you think it's overheating
Try underclocking your GPU if it's hitting 100% and crashing.
DO NOT use nvidia experience or the recommended settings.

There are a ton of fixes it'll take awhile to try them all, everyone's system is different, so I'm just hitting you with the general
My settings in my sig are verified by 300+ people to help with 970's
