Assassin's Creed Syndicate

Yes, if he fall from some very tall building...But dying in combat is almost impossible...Don't know about Unity though, didn't play it...
You can die in combat and I actually died quite a lot in Unity (although it gets easier pretty soon if you buy new gear and upgrade your char).

Good to know that :) Previous assassins were immortal with all those counters, chain attacks and human shields...

Chain attacks and human shields are completey gone. Counters don't work that easily anymore for every enemy type.

But the game is still pretty easy once you've leveled up and know how to fight. Only real danger are ranged enemies since you can get shot pretty quickly...

Next game being officially revealed on the 12th May.

I look forward to visiting London in Assassin's Creed Victory!
But it's a long time since I've played any Assassin's Creed game, and I must admit I miss this:
Perhaps I should download the game again...
Hmm.. I assume Victory doesn't come out before closer to Christmas anyway?

I know @braindancer12 seems a bit unnecessary, unless they pull a sudden left turn and its a completely different game, very doubtful, as the attire looks...... Victorian-esque.

I just hope it has more longevity than previous games, AC1 and Brotherhood were my personal favs, mainly because the Crusades is an area of history that greatly interests me, and Brotherhood was just awesome!

In more recent games, I loved Black Flag, but it wasn't really an AC game, I think Ubisoft have missed a trick really, they have a great sea engine, there is a whole pirate based game IP there waiting to be made. Just take out the free running, and make the tone darker, be great!

I hope they ditch the co-op for Victory, most of my co-op experience for Unity was 2 or 3 other idiots who either didn't know what to do, or ran around alerting everyone rather than.... you know, act like an assassin and sneak around. /facepalm

why the hell would an assassin wear clothing that makes him stand out from the crowd? fail

Ha ha, right!

I always like Altair's style (appreciate he had a knife on his back) be he looked far more understated than say Connor (shudder) or Edward, who had entire arsenals strapped to them!

Less is more, something they need to rediscover in the franchise. Just wish you could be an ASSASSIN, you know poison, killing in their sleep..... variety. Not run in, hidden blade!

Not to mention Altair was wearing similar clothes to the white priests, where he could blend in like he does it in the trailer.

As for being the actual Assassin, i'm kinda hoping Dishonored 2 gets announced soon. When i've played the first one i actually felt lke proper assassin, Corvo has so much tools and approaches to his targets it's almost funny if you compare it to Assassin's Creed game where 90% of the missions will require you to backstab a target and then run away from every guard that was alerted to your presence half mile away.

Just like every year Ubisoft's plans for a surprise reveal were ruined by Kotaku. Or more likely by some disgruntled, turned snitch employee who cares about AC about as much as Ubisoft cares for their customers. Anyhow...

Number One: It's no longer called Victory, but Syndicate

Number Two: Out protagonists [!!] are siblings called Jacob and Evie. Both are playable, though the story will focus mostly on the brother.

Number Three: It's apparently 75% for him to 25% for her [Tumblr 'feminists' must be raging right now]. You can switch during free-roam if you so desire.

Some concept art of Evie.

Here is the article.

I'm loving her character design, here's hoping that Jacob will also be wearing similar civilian clothes, instead of ridiculous robes with hoods that stick out like a sore thumb.

Also apparently, they got rid of multiplayer in this one which is weird since co-op was the big thing for AC: Unity, but if that means spending more time refining the single player experience, then it's a win win situation imo.

Ooh, I like the blue/red jacket design. The middle one is nice, but I'd lose the trenchcoat and that godwaful plaid pattern. /fashionista
I'm also glad they're ditching the hoodies - they are cool, but it's tiring and this point.

Ubi is really going to rope me into this one (...after reviews confirm no disembodied eyeballs and teeth are in the game). It'd be cool if there was some kind of a co-op, sounds like it would be fun to play with my brother. Oh well.

I never buy AC games at full price anymore, I'm still waiting for a Steam sale for AC: Rogue and Unty.
