Well, I think most people don't play casual in a game where there are 30 ranks to climb in a month, so you need over 100 wins or maybe 200-300 matches a season. Before HC I regularly made it to rank 17/18 with about 50/60 matches. So I had some time for Casual since I wasn't interested in climbing further (i. e. grinding).
That said I observed two things when playing Casual this season. 1. during the season a lot of players were using the same net decks in casual as in ranked. I cannot count the times I quit a match because it was against Leshen. It's frustrating to have this since Casual is there to try out new things. 2. then again after the season ended I had a fun run in Casual where I faced a lot of leaders I had barely seen before with some interesting combos. I doubt they could beat the super efficient meta decks but this was fun and showed the potential of HC if CDPR ever manage to balance the game.
