Patch 1.1

Wait, so retrying loot by loading is disabled?

There are people who literally can't play the game and you guys felt it was more important to spend resources on removing my only ability to customize my character's appearance? V looking like a deranged hobo must be a very important plot point to Cyberpunk.

Wondering if this has anything to do with the save files size they said they fixed.

Patch 1.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, consoles and Stadia!

In this update we focused on various stability improvements, which you can find outlined in the patch notes below. We will continue this work in patch 1.2 and other upcoming updates. At the same time we will keep fixing the bugs you encounter and listening to your feedback on how to improve the overall game experience.

Stability

Various stability improvements including:
  • Memory usage improvements in various systems within the game: characters, interactions, navigation, in-game videos (news, tv, etc.), foliage, laser effects, minimap, devices, AI, street traffic, environmental damage system, GPU-related, and more.
  • Various crash fixes (related to, among others, loading saves, game opening/closing and Point of No Return).
Quests/Open World
  • Fixed an issue where calls from Delamain would end immediately and seem like they cannot be picked up in Epistrophy.
  • Fixed an issue where players would not receive calls from Delamain when approaching relevant vehicles in Epistrophy.
  • Fixed an issue where the objective could get stuck on "Answer the call from Mr. Hands" in M'ap Tann Pèlen.
  • Fixed an issue where Judy could teleport underground in Pyramid Song.
  • Fixed an issue where it would be impossible to talk to Zen Master in Poem of The Atoms.
  • Fixed an issue where Takemura wouldn't call in Down on the Street.
  • Fixed an issue where Jackie could disappear in The Pickup.
  • Fixed an issue where it could be impossible to get out of the car in The Beast in Me: The Big Race.
  • Fixed an issue where players could stop receiving calls and messages after moving too far away from A Day In The Life area.
  • Fixed an issue where opening the package wouldn't update Space Oddity.
  • Retro-fixed the saves affected by a rare issue where speaking to Judy in Automatic Love would be impossible due to an invisible wall. The underlying issue is under investigation.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from collecting the reward in Gig: Freedom of the Press. The quest will auto-complete for those who could not collect the reward previously, and the reward will be provided automatically.
  • Fixed an issue where Delamain would remain silent throughout Epistrophy if the player initially refused to help him.
UI
  • Fixed an issue where prompt for exiting braindance could be missing.
  • Removed an invalid item from loot.
Visual
  • Fixed an issue where a grenade's trajectory could be displayed in photo mode.
  • Fixed particles' hue appearing pink when viewed close up.
  • Fixed cars spawning incorrectly in Reported Crime: Welcome to Night City.
Achievements
  • Fixed an issue where completing one of the assaults in progress in Santo Domingo would sometimes not contribute towards progression for The Jungle achievement, preventing its completion.
Miscellaneous
  • Addressed the issue responsible for saves getting oversized (related to the modifier indicating if the item is crafted), and trimmed the excess size from already existing saves (note: this won’t fix PC save files corrupted before 1.06 update).
  • Fixed an issue where input could stop registering upon opening the weapon wheel and performing an action.
  • Fixed an issue where the "Continue" button in the Main Menu could load an end game save.
PlayStation-specific
  • Performance optimization of crowds on PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 5.
  • Various crash fixes on PlayStation 4.
Xbox-specific
  • Improved memory usage for character creation, mirrors, scanning, camera remote control, menus (inventory, map) on Xbox One, Xbox One X and Xbox One S.
PC-specific
  • It will now be possible to obtain achievements while in Steam offline mode. Note: Offline mode needs to be enabled before starting the game. This change does not work retroactively.
  • Addressed the game startup crashes related to loading cache on NVIDIA graphics cards.
Stadia-specific
  • Concert audio should no longer be inaudible in Never Fade Away.
  • Fixed corrupted textures on several melee weapons.
  • Tweaked default deadzone settings to be more responsive. Note: the change will not affect settings unless they’re set to default.
Why you didn't fix reported crime "Dredged up" - I can't finish achievment because of that. Just look section Technical here in the site and look that people complain about this, there are a lot of pictures attach for that. I didn't have any issue from the things that you patched (small buggs), but with this issue - where I cant finish the mission (scan the body) you did nothing. And now to wait 5 more months for this to be fixed? Fixed now please.

I love this game. I love cyberpunk 2020/red/2077. And I love you guys for all this amazing work, but you definitely need to implement better AI for enemies and especially fix the police system, mini map, and vehicles.
I pray for the time when my PS4 game doesn't crash.
I will be eagerly await your hard work with my Collectors Edition and sourcebooks to keep me fed lol

Wondering if this has anything to do with the save files size they said they fixed.

Maybe, but randomizing unique items in a single player game makes no sense in the first place anyway.
I think they thought it was "cool" you couldn't predict your character's appearance, but a more sane fix even for the save file bloat would be nonrandom items.

It seems to me at this point that CDPR needs to hire an agile consultant to teach them how to run a software department. It's a basic principle of software planning that the order of features should be prioritised as follows:

High value/low cost: Highest priority
High value/high cost: High priority
Low value/low cost: Meh
Low value/high cost: You probably won't ever need to touch these. Definitely don't touch them while you have other stuff to do.

But then, I'm not surprised. They've been violating more basic ideas than this.

I play on PC and am one of those players that have very few problems with the game since launch. I jumped on for about an hour after the patch and my frame rate is up on average of 6 - 10p FPS and I was able to jack up a few of the shadows and reflections from med to high.

PS4 player here - game looks and plays significantly better. Textures are noticeably improved.

So thanks CDPR for that

Time will tell how unstable the game has become after this patch but almost immediately I’m seeing npc’s fall through the floor etc

Still lots to do in terms of bugs and stability as well as overall game experience later down the line but for now it’s a good start.

I've been waiting for a low framerate fix since the game was released. But so far nothing is fixed, only graphic errors. Graphic errors didn't bother me as much as the low framerate. Xbox one S

Played straight 6h yesterday right after the update, platform PS5.
Conclusions:
1. Congrats your update installs in 3-4 seconds with almost 17GB content while e.g. Rocket League with 350MB update installed 2-3 minutes... That's minor but it's convenient. Keep it that way.
2. Performance definitely increased, the framerate doesn't drop and spike as much as it used to in very crowded and detailed places like markets etc. It's not perfect yet but even before it was fine so now it's like fine+. But in the end the game should run at 60fps@4K fixed for PS5 but I understand it takes a dedicated PS5 version to achieve that and it's only for now since it's PS4 game. Nevertheless, the difference is easily visible.
3. Loading times are again faster like with every previous update. It's pretty close to getting to the sweet spot point. I know it's very challenging to create a game with such a massive world to be loadingless so I respect the fact that you're trying to achieve this and it's already a good achievement to only load for cut-scenes. Keep it up.
4. Radio stopped working for me. Whatever station I choose, it's not working.
5. Button tips stuck on a vehicle from one of the Panam's missions seems to be fixed.
6. Whole character menu seems more responsive, especially the backpack with lots of items.
7. When disassembling a gun from the bottom of the list (perhaps other items, too), the scroll glitches weirdly instead of just staying on the bottom of the list.
8. The game crashed after 6 hours. I was pretty close to believing it doesn't crash anymore. That was a very long session and also the crash wasn't preceded with more fps spikes as it had before. It just crashed out of mission going around the city, on my way to pick up a mission. It's much better regarding that, there is no the longer you play, the laggier the game gets. But for sure it still needs some work. A lot of people will probably say it doesn't crash at all because 6h playtime is not something many people do and I'm looking forward to checking if it'll crash playing typical 2-3 hours at once.
9. Settings got resetted and I'm trying default video settings again.
10. Hasn't experienced much glitches but I also didn't before the update. I could maybe count them all on my fingers from ~70h playtime.
11. I don't know if that's a fact because I can't compare but it seems like the sounds improved?! Somehow felt better but that may be false.

Overall a very good update, the game could easily be released like that as initial release, at least for PS5. Can't wait for February update but of course will be waiting while playing the game! It's freaking addictive. I can't remember last time I've played something for 6 hours. I'm usually bored after 2. Thanks CDRP for this game and making a difference in a gaming world instead of releasing copies of already checked and safe ideas and going your own path instead. Of course that road does have haters who will always be there to put you down. Ignore them.

My last save before 1.1 downloaded was during Down on the Street while waiting for Takemura to call. Sure enough, I got the bug. Fortunately I had made a save on the docks just before meeting Takemura, so I rolled back to that. Everything worked fine from that point on. We talked to Oda, we talked to Wakako, I waited a day, and Takemura called and everything worked.

As a test, I also made a couple of manual saves during the "Wait a day for Takemura to call" stage, and when I reloaded those the game did not exhibit the bug.

It seems the bug only happens if you load a save that was made with 1.06 while Down on the Street was still active after talking to Wakako. Saves made with 1.06 from before or after Down on the Street do not have this problem, and neither do saves made with 1.1 even during the mission.

I think the glass half full people miss the huge issue with patch 1.1
While trying to fix the crashes CDPR removed all of the refresh features. Why does this matter ? You get a game breaking bug and the normal solutions of lose progress and reload an earlier save.....switch to another play through....start a new game. None of that matters because it doesn't refresh so it will always be there unless you wipe it all. Get a crappy roll on an important item....go to an earlier save nope get a better roll on another playthrough nope.....no more refreshing so no more work around just a completely busted game so many cannot just deal with it's issues and wait for a fix they just made the game unplayable in a hotfix they call a patch 1.1 is worse than the release.

PC, Patch 1.1, the Down on the Street quest 4/17. Takemura call does nothing. I tried the work around and that did not help. I am going to lose a lot of play time if I go back to a point before I meet up with him.

I really wish people would get off of CDPR back about the game, the game is fun and it slowly needs to be fixed BEFORE they add other stuff! If you have ever BETA tested, sometimes stuff doesn't make it to the live version, and some stuff that did can be broken! It's gaming life, play something else if you don't like it! I for one LOVE the game! It's immersive and SUPER fun! There is SOO much to do, I have had very little bugs and I appreciate everything CDPR has done! Is it perfect? No, but they are trying to fix it! Give them time! #JustTypin #StayAwesome
