Question about Thronebreaker story timeframe

HelloI would like to know if Thronebreaker: the witcher tales ... take place before the games trilogy or after? In the 7 books I finished reading the first 5. When i would end reading all the 7 books can I play Thronebreaker directly or is it better to play the games trilogy? Thank you for your future answers.
