how to run The witcher enhanced edition (Steam Version) on windows 10

Don't have Steam edition, but GOG edition runs fine on Windows 10. Need to install DirectX 9 from the redistributables is all.

Am on Steam and Windows 10 and W1 enhanced works fine. But had the same problem with another older game. I think this is what I did:
Go into Steam/Steam Apps/Common then select your game. Click on the properties and click on the box that says 'run program in compatibility mode'.
