So although there is legitimate reason for concern over Sony's policies, keep in mind a few things:
1. Cyberpunk 2077 is hugely, hugely anticipated. That gives CDPR tremendous leverage.
2. They are the creator and the producer - they have full control over every aspect. You can't go over their heads and talk to "the suits". The suits are the creators.
3. CDPR has their own launch platform and a close relationship with Microsoft. They don't need PS sales to survive and even thrive. Sony is unlikely to want to drive them any closer to the big M.
4. The Poles ( these Poles, anyway) are notoriously resistant to people messing with their vision and artistic goals. "We leave greed to others" and
"[Our people] believe that, I hope they believe that, at CDProjekt they are able to create the greatest games in the world. No one will stop them because we, as business persons in the company, we are not valuing Business over Quality. So we never stop them from quality for any business reason."
are their stated perspectives on things like this.
So it is extremely unlikely that we will see CDPR being forced or induced to censor anything they aren't already inclined to censor themselves.
This is kind of a go-nowhere-Sony-is-bad thread. Sony isn't bad (in any kind of real scale - and they've sold us lots of fun stuff as well) and we (CDPR and the mods) are not huge fans of general complaining threads. Probably going to lock sooner than later.
