Can't defeat Azar Javed

Hi!

I tried at least 15 times but Azar is killing me every time. I drunk swallow and cat potions, and I am fighting him in easy style and using aard sign agins him. However he is killing me every time! I also read guide about it but it says only "be cautious". Can anyone help me?

You can try uploading your save game file and I can kill him for you.

You might also not be able to beat him because you are not high enough in levels. My guess is that you should try to fight him, after you've reached level 30, but you can also do it even if you are not.

Here are some potions that will definitely help you. Not all of them at once, watch for toxicity. Cat is not a potion that will help you.

Good grief that was hard.

Had to exit the Manor, find some booze in a barrel in the Courtyard, luckily you had not already looted it, and make a Full Moon as well as a Swallow. I also drank your Willow potion, I hope you don't mind.

Have fun with the rest of the game. Try Alchemy out whenever you can. You have some special ingredients that allow you to get some passive abilities, if you use them to create mutagenic potions.

My best advice is to get the Raven's Armor and have Igni very upgraded. Igni is by far the most overpowered spell in Witcher 1. It can cause incineration and do like 100+ damage per second to multiple enemies. The Raven's Armor can be gotten through a lengthy quest and it depends on your faction which items you need to get for the quest.

If you are pretty bad at this game (like me) and have a lot of time to spare, you can always run around the big circle path that goes round the whole room and blast Azar in the face with Igni once every circuit. A mere hour and a half/80+ circuits later, and that ploughing mage is dead!

With a towny owl potion and igni spam no enemy should stand a chance, pretty op^^
