@Kallelinski Not going to quote your long text and/or reply to it completely, but I do have some general observations.
I feel you're just looking at one or two facets of the given arguments and bite down on those. The main things seems to be that they did something similar in previous game(s), so the start should be okay too now. Let met disagree with you there. Bad plus bad doesn't equal good. If Geralt has a habit of just leaving, they could've added a few lines to explain how/why Triss and Geralt broke up after TW2 - that's pretty much all we would have liked in this regard(obviously us Triss fans want more, but that would've been satisfactory ). As for how they did it with Shani, I don't really remeber. I never liked her much anyway - such a control-freak.
Your other argument is pretty much all about the books, and once again, I disagree. The game should make sense and be satisfying WITHOUT having read the books. Putting in options, teasers and references to the book is cool, but it should also be enjoyable, make sense and be satisfying for people who just played the games.
I for one actually tried reading the books a few years ago. Sadly enough there only were fan translations which were quite horrible, so I gave up(I might try again one fo these days though). Besides, some people that play games don't even like reading. I don't feel reading the books should be obligatory and the game should be satisfactory(good/enjoyable/....) as a stand-alone product.
So I'd like you to look at it from a less comparative angle - we do not think X is better, so we also want better. No, we think X(Triss) is underdone and unsatisfying, so we want her part of the game done better - or at least expanded upon. So in my opinion, all arguments relating to either the books or Yennefer are not valid arguments regarding the point we're trying to make.
So I guess we are (somewhat) in agreement after all!

I never felt about her that way, not even at the start. She always had her own thing, while still helping the people she loved/cared for - which is one of the major reason I like her so much.she isn't just another woman, who will jump, when asked.
There you go . I appear to be one of the few people who actually likes Yennefer too though. I thought she was indeed a very well done character(though I guess they could've added some extra lore/mood conversations in the later part of the game). I still like Triss even more though :happy:At the same time i feel like they nailed Yennefer and her part in the story almost perfectly, so it's easy to say for me that the way it went is fine by me... argh, this is so not going well for me here, i already can see the quotes...., sorry

I don't mind, I like a proper discussion....on a second thought maybe i should have just shut my mouth... but it would be boring, if everyone had the same opinion, i guess.

I don't see any pitchforks. The discussion to this point has been very constructive and civilized in my opinion. It might go in circles a bit, but that's to be expected. A lot of people are starting to finish the game just now and they haven't read all previous pages of discussion. Please, don't take it personal, but you appear right now like running in circles with torch and pitchforks, just because it didn't went the way you wanted.
