NVidia hairworks improvement issue in patch 1.04?

I have a setup of 2x GTX680 SLI. When disabling hairworks and everything on ultra besides foliage view distance and shadows on high I have 90fps. When enabling hairworks only for Geralt, it drops to 35 - 40fps!! How the hell is this possible?

This isn't normal. Patch 1.04 states it should be improved. Does anyone encounter the same issue? Can something be done about besides disabling it (its really nice, but not worth this)?

Thanks

This is not only for the recent patch , i have a single 780 and using ur same setup i get between 52 - 60 fps , but once i enable HW i get instantly 30 fps , like if nvidia made this setting as a handicap for older cards to try and make it run

ALOT of people had similar complaints on nvidia forums , about nvidia cripling their old cards in favour of 900 series , here is a link to the most popular of those threads : https://forums.geforce.com/default/...s-performance-in-the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-/51/

Thanks for the reply all. I keep hairworks disabled for now. Apparently Nvidia is working on a new driver for the Kepler cards to address the issue. I'll wait for that driver to come out. Thank you all for the replies
