Too much synthy music would hurt too, there should be some atmospheric ambient stuff that defines the place where it plays like Fallout 1 & 2 music was done. Besides. synthetic stuff, like on the coast, really? That's not gonna work.

If the economy in the game will be exploit ridden munchkin heaven, i.e. unbalanced, then I expect this song in the radio rotation alongside with mentioned earlier stuff.

Let me know if you can hear all the instruments in this one, it's an experiment. It uses sound frequencies that not all people can listen.

Good call on Voivoid. I've seen them live a few times. The last when Jason Newsted was playing with them.
I'd argue that kronik "sound" is fitting, because it's too Lo-Fi. Maybe Phobos fit better? Yes, it does. There's also Vektor, but they are too "spacy".
I actually think this would work if they have a kind of satirical vibe to some parts of the game (Think of like Robocop).
