1.7 getting real close?

+
Perhaps.

Doubtful it will have any new footage if so. No one's even mentioned if it's a trash or pass - I think it will be solid for what it is btw, I'm just not sold yet. The Alan Wake video was kind of a lengthy recap of what we saw with an emphasis on how great it will be so... eh.

There is undoubtably a NDA on it until after today's showcase. CDPR flew a bunch of important people from the company out to the event. No way they just did that for Play Days. There is a trailer, pre-order announcement and date coming during the XBox Showcase or the thing after Starfield.

It seems that they are very sure that their new product will meet the demands of the vast majority of players and I suppose that tomorrow journalists and influencers will publish their impressions is the demo they are playing. It is possible that they are only on play days granting interviews and that is all their activity at the Summer Game Fest. There may be nothing else, keep the illusions on the ground.

IT looks like the IGN pre-show for is showing PL right now. They're mostly talking about story stuff we already know But hopefully they'll have more soon, it looks like they had hands on for a little over an hour.

September 23rd.

The three games I am most interested in are Baldur's Gate, Starfield and Phantom Liberty. How they gonna release them all within a month? Lol.

Are we all assuming that 1.7 (or whatever they call it) is coming the same time as PL now ? It'd be cool if it came sooner just for some bug smashing, but honestly I'm assuming its a same day thing now, and that's fine, it's not much longer anyway.

It might drop before the expansion tbh since its not an uncommon practice (generaly in MMOs tho) Im not that exited tbh so doesnt matter for me. Atleast we have a date now and fun to see Keanu again. We shall se when i get around too playing it, q4 looks too be pretty stuffed...

If it's like the Assassin's Creed Valhalla expansions, the patch will probably drop the same week before the expansion drops.

Thats a bit far but nice to know when :)

Dont care about other games premiere that month -its CDP decision to compete with them. Anyone who wants to play more CP2077 will eventually buy it.
That matters for people working in the industry. With the studio making a big deal of all the changes at the behest of employees and their well-being, plenty of people are looking toward the quality of the expansion and how it sells as a support for the argument of changing publisher and executive team demands.

It's not just about when and how much gamers can consooooom.

Counterpoint: it would be almost three years after release, so people who would really want to buy it would buy it at any date.
I really hope that they've picked that date because they treat the matter really seriously, take their time to iron out everything and that they want the release to go as smoothly as possible - and not because of some other reason.

September, wow... buzy month for games this year. I just hope we'll get a proper 1.7 patch a few weeks before that, so we can test and squash bugs. Can't wait!!

Do we know when the PL quest start...? I guess this must be during Act 3?

We don't, but one can assume it starts in Act 2.

So based on that anywhere from early September to the day PL drops. Still not too much longer of a wait all things considered.
