Broken sword audio after next gen update.

Ever since 4.0 patch was released, I've had this terrible audio when swords hits an enemy. I've had countless playthroughs before 4.0 Next gen update, and unfortunately I can't play it because of this issue. It takes away from the immersion simply because it sounds terrible.

I thought this issue has been fixed since there were countless posts all over the place regarding this issue, but nothing has been done.

Has anyone found a workaround or a solution to it?

Are you playing on console? On Xbox you can fix this by going into the xbox audio setting and turning on "stereo uncompressed."
