Can't talk to NPC's anymore/ No icons to communicate

So I have a "gamebreaking" glitch where it's not possible to talk to NPC's anymore, the talk icon just doesn't appear.
I have browsed the web and this forum without success, I found some guy saying the only way to fix this is to reinstall..
So I come here hoping someone got a fix.. in fact, if you load a previous save it's ok, BUT it happend after doing a good farming run so I lost all my progress/loot due to that, it's no big deal, I just want to know if there is a fix in case that happen again in the future..
Would be sad if the only to fix this is by reinstalling.. I could see this being irritating.
