Crashes to Desktop [GOG; Linux]
Hello,
I have been trying to get the GOG Linux version of Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition to work properly for four days now. At first I was having dependency issues but I managed to solve those (a fault largely of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS being a dork) and began playing. I was having a lot of fun, and didn't expect the game to run so well on my r9 280 (almost identical to Windows performance). However I soon encountered an issue that I haven't been able to solve.
In the prologue I crash to the desktop each and every time I get to the streets during the quest "To the Temple". No errors or anything. It just crashes. I have tried setting my settings to as low as they could, creating a new save and even redownloading the .sh multiple times to do a reinstall. But it happens in the exact spot over and over again.
Here is an image of the spot that it occurs:
So whenever I go down the hill, three-four seconds later I crash. I've tried also hurrying to the buildings and try to enter them, hoping it will help, but it forces an instant crash.
Some information on my system:
I5-4670k (Not oc'd)
R9 280 (Not oc'd) + using the latest AMD Linux drivers
8GB of RAM (Not oc'd)
Witcher 2 version is stated in the file "gameinfo" to be "The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings - Enhanced Edition
2.2.0.8 Release 3 (20150306204412)"
Terminal Commands:
If there are other commands needed to be run that will help, please state so and I shall run them.
Thanks! Hopefully someone can help me out here.
