I recently found this and think it quite suits cyberpunk.
Make it shorter, slower and less dynamic, remove pop effects and solos, remove repetition and make it somewhat more unique, maybe even add own text. Chorus needs most of the work.
I imagine scene, when this could be playing. Some major friendly npc was killed and assassins are fleeing. Another friendly npc is running and jumping from one rooftop to another, in madness, sadness, fear, despair, adrenalin maxed, ready for revenge, with knowing that assassins are hiding and running out, but it cannot see or catch them. It is tossing implants away in anger and to "wash" from technology and pain, which caused dead of beloved ones. At the end it could scream, cry and yell from height to the very bellow streets, deep inside realizing that its friend is dead.
The lyrics "What did they aim for when they missed your heart" means that this npc wants to be killed instead of its friend, "shoot in the dark" refers to assassination itself and "soul is on fire" refers to madness and revenge mentioned above. I think lyrics are superb for this scene.
Also, it would be cool for cyberpunk in general to add singed music from time to time. Hear some song in background can really lift up atmosphere and make it more alive. Also, instead of playing "out of nowhere" , just for song itself, some cutscenes could be like TV news with human voice commentary and song playing on the background, or mp10 (haha) in player's pocket... Markets can have propagation songs, people can be singing or something.
