DLC with the Evelyn Parker route (betraying Dexter DeShawn)

Jackie'd death is a powerful motivation. It is hard to come by friends like that. Tleast for an ex-corpo V.

Trailers don't usually mislead you by showing you the complete opposite of what happens in the product. :)

I actually recall being mildly disappointed when playing that sequence that it's completely on-rails (you get shot by Dex no matter what you do), because I vaguely remembered the trailer.

Another drip in the drip ... drip ... drip of disappointment.
I haven't seen the video before now.

But I didn't like being unable to draw my weapon in the hall. Nor being given the option to fight. Nor the option to survive, given that I am usually lvl/rep 50 every time by that part.

I think there would be great potential down the line for a re-implementation of the (probably cut) Evelyn Parker route where V betrays Dexter DeShawn (cut him lose). In a pre-release VIDEO it's quite clear T-BUG switched sides and V managed to shoot Dexter DeShawn while self also getting shoot. This is so much great potential to play it all out a bit differently. That would be a most welcome DLC.

With the current canon endings in Cyberpunk 2077 there is not much room for DLC's since they have to "play out" before the final Hanako Arasaka meeting. A Evelyn Parker route DLC would work out great, so would DLC's that pick up from the canon endings. We really want to know how it all plays out. We want closure.

EDIT 1: To give an even better example, I have made a Youtube video from the actual Evelyn Parker scene that let's the player "betray" Dexter DeShawn, then I merged it with the consequences from the official E3 video. You all have to excuse V's gender change between the betray and consequence scene, but at least we can finally have it all in proper context now:

EDIT 2: When hacking/modding I found some leftovers from the canned Evelyn Parker route:
We should have gotten that choice.

That video has nothing to do with cut content. It's the first trailer that introduced Reeves as Johnny Silverhand. It's just a cinematic trailer. Games change from trailers all the time, and despite what you may believe, the company is under no obligation to inform anyone outside of the company of said changes. As it says in many EULA's "Subject to change without notification"

Wish there was an option to fight even if it had the same outcome, same with calling Evy before entering the room only to lead to voice mail or something, would give players options and emphasize how fruitless everything is in this turn of events, shit happens whether or not we do anything about it, which is the whole premise in a nut shell.

But no, the trailer is not cut content, it's a cinematic trailer for pete's sake, have any of you ever seen a cinematic trailer before (Warcraft, Elder Scrolls Online, The Old Republic, The Witcher, Deus Ex etc.) ?

same with calling Evy before entering the room only to lead to voice mail or something
Yeah, it could be very cool :)
Like optional objective in addition to join Dex in the room : "(optional) Call Evy".
If you do it, no response... So another optional objective appear : "(optional) Send a message to Evy".
Then, few second later, you receive a message "this phone number is not assigned" (or "you have been blocked").

And finally, the only solution remaining is to meet Dex in the room :D

Yup, exactly that, give the players the illusion that they have a choice in the matter and then literally crumble it in their faces, and all that there's left is the inevitable.

Would have been so cool and also a foreshadowing of the bigger plot that was to come.

The game already includes way too many illusions and red herrings that lead nowhere, as well as quests that just end without followups. Having another questline without a real conclusion is a bit much, since it's so overused in CP2077 already.

Consider Evelyn fate.
Dexter Shawn already discovered Evelyn plans to betray, it why you get the "no response" when you call, then you try to message her and get "This number no longer active".
You see T bug there, so she obviously the one that hacked Evelyn implants.
You calling confirm to dex you were going to betray.
So different dialogue in the room when you come out of the bathroom.
Rather than the bitching and whinnying of Dexter Shawn about a botched heist, he talking about your betrayal.

Dexter Shawn arrange to sell Evelyn to the Porn Braindancer gang, for her betrayal
Dexter Shawn was going to kill you anyways, that too many eddies to split up.
You're still shot, the game must go on with the story arc
T bug alive and you hunt her down to discover this, a fixer was betraying his merc. After all, none know of Evelyn betrayal except T-Bug, Dexter and the bodyguard. Word on the street is, Dexter betrayed a client and planned to screw over his merc. Your rep remains intact if not actually increase.
This is kind of a guarantee that no fixers tries to screw you over

Takamura is still blamed, but he learns on the street of this fiasco and hooks up with you.

There are other suggested theories that could have fit in, to still give the game a fresh start, different playing options etc in future DLC if they decide to do so. Better romance options: Claire thread, Joss Kutcher option, etc etc, Judy helping to fix V as suggested in another thread,

In spoiler, in case you didn't play further in the story :)
It's the Voodoo Boys who hacked Evelyn's implants.
T-Bug is dead a while before in the Konpeki, even before leaving the penthouse... When she open the windows for V and Jackie. She most likely been "fired" by Soulkiller (beside, the girl in the netrunner shop in Kabuki roundabout say that T-Bug was find dead in her apartement, the "brain fried").
