So we know there is street racing as one might expect, but I'm hoping there are some other "fun" activities that V (we) can engage in.

I for one LOVE LOVE LOVE Gambling I can't get enough of it. Smart enough not to let that infect my real wallet, but give me red dead redemption and I'm at that poker table to either it's wiped clean or I am. So I'm hoping we have some gambling here preferably card games.

Aside from that one can take a look at Fallout 4, and many other games, having arcade games. We know there are clubs, but one can only hear so much tehnomusic while drinking imaginary alcohol.

We know there is nothing like Gwent that has been confirmed.

So what do you think? Any Leisure Activities that you know will be in the game or hope to see?

Some Texas Hold'em would be nice. Would not mind some computer games on V's apartment computer as well. I'm so pumped for this game. Nothing is going to be like it.

Not really a huge fan of leisure stuff unless it’s well implemented. And I’ve yet to see leisure activities well implemented. At best they’re gimmicks that you do once or twice then never touch again.

wouldn’t mind a gwent-like game, though. It’s leisure and gambling all in one, and you can design a quest or two around it.

I would love some sort of card game like Gwent and a console / computer game to stuff around on .

I fond memory of mine in Red Dead Redemption 2 was taking the train into Saint Denis, going to the saloon by tram and then playing cards all day, renting a room for the night, buying a new suit with the winnings and playing cards again all night before heading back to camp.

Cards is always good.

yakuza zero level of mini games. wide variaté - all of them with there own story lines. that be awesome.

fucking unlikely, but awesome.

as for what. from boxing, shooting, infiltration, best hacker in the city, consturtion of gagets with limited time (robot wars like), the biggest heist, destruction derby in the wastelands, go-cart rally, arcade games, karaoke is always a classic, impersonating differnt public persons (that you neutraliced beforehand) to manipulate there standing (tank there stock ect.) and so on...

the possibilitys are near endless. i am exitet to see what cdpr and the modders come up with.

There will be street races, fist fights and shooting competitions. That's basically confirmed. I hope that yet unannounced activity be something original, preferably connected to the net or braindance.

God yes I want red dead like poker gambling or slot machine. Casinos, dingy back alley gambling apartments. Basically something that's with in-game currency.
Getting bankrupt in game.

Imagine also when those mini games can go wrong with punks pointing guns at each other.
Cheaters with cybernetic

There is dancing which we saw, eating and drinking. I presume calling in working girls/guys is sort of a side activity.

I'm not big on playing small mini games but I am thinking braindances are sort of like that. Similar to what watch dogs did which I didnt mind and it helps flesh out the world.

I would personally go for TV, radio, Rockerboy concert and rave party.
I'm not really fond of side activities affecting gameplay.

Nice topic :)

I love the idea of 80's arcades first and foremost. Would be a great vibe for me.

Also, anything involving machines or danger. I think it fits the theme. So I also chose slots and five finger fillet.

As for trying to make my own up...er, maybe gambling on some kind of futuristic dog/horse racing? Cyber-horse racing? Heh.

It might not be for the squeamish but how about cyber-dog fights? You could own one and buy it upgrades. There's a chance for permadeth so it'd be an investment and a real gamble.

It'd be like some kind of vicious, futuristic Pokemon battle.

Or maybe not.

Why does it have to be imaginary? ;)

Agreed, mini-games can add flavor. I'll say, Duke Nukem Forever has the finest pinball machine I've seen as a mini-game.

The kart racing in Yakuza: Like a Dragon looks really fun.

I voted arcade, console, and sonic, simply because I could and those would be the coolest, however I don't really feel too crazy about any of the ideas. I'm personally not a fan of gambling at all, and I will likely avoid it at all costs if it shows up in Cyberpunk2077. I view it as a guaranteed loss I suppose so no reason for me to ever play, in video games or otherwise. If it was profitable for the people who participate everyone in Night City would quit their job and walk into a casino and walk out with a million dollars in winnings every time. Night City has lots of homeless people, which is just only one small clue among many other reasons as to how it's going for them, gambling or otherwise. The only reason the casino exists is because it's a business, which requires eddies to remain open. They remain open because they consistently make eddies, since they consistently win, which means the players consistently lose. Why should I play a game that I know I wont win? Gambling is a strange game. The only winning move is not to play. Personally I would be far more interesting in V having the ability to go to these casinos in Cyberpunk2077 (if they exist) and find very smart and creative (and funny) ways to cheat the system and potentially make huge eddies, and anger the casino in the process resulting in some very dangerous but also hilarious shenanigans.

I'm the most interesting in fast paces street races full of highly epic exaggerated drifting. (also just trying to hack the whole entire city)

Personally I will be gambling in Night City with my wheels and my blades.

Well good news. We know there is a Casino, but we don't know if we can gamble.

Something GTA5 online casino taught me: Games of pure chance are VERY boring and un-fun. In the GTA casino you can play slot machines, horse races and some poor card games like blackjack. The problem is that there is no skill element to these games, so player involvement is negligible. Having math background I feel repulsed by the idea of putting money in these games because I know I will always lose in the long run. Playing these games is just throwing money away.. It might make sense to ultrarich NPCs, but not for me as a player.

In order to be an engaging side activity, these minigames need to have skill element, or a collectible card game element. Gwent has both, which makes it a really good minigame.

RDR2 has ACTUAL hold-em poker (unlike GTA), where players can play against each other. Poker obviously has a huge skill element, so it is also a good and engaging side activity.

I think for Cyberpunk, a great solution would be to have arcadegames with skill element, where you compete against the computer to reach a high score. Maybe you could compete against NPCs for some kind of bet reward. I feel that arcadegames are connected to cyberpunk, as arcades were huge back in the 1990-2000s when Cyberpunk fever was high. I have loads of really fond memories of them.

I'm going to line up Corpo's against the wall, each holding eddies above their head. Judy will mix me a cocktail, and then the fun begins. <3 Think of how many eddies we will make selling this Braindance!

There are is also luck factor in the game. Sometimes I would get lucky and unlucky in a game session. I saw noobies winning rounds and taking a big lot in the game. I have played RDR 2 poker so many times that there seemed to be a pattern in the algorithm of who usually gets the winning cards and losing cards.
