I’m referring to the ideal world where CDPR doesn’t abandon their responsibilities of fixing their mistakes to modders. You should be able to play with the new puppy, and not have to run around picking up poop off the floor. I’m on your side. Updating your mods to work with an updated release is your cost of doing business. Fixing broken features of the vanilla game shouldn’t be.
And as someone who prefers to play the game unmodded, I shouldn’t have to resort to installing third party fixit mods just to play the game as CDPR intended.
So, after all this time, they release an update only for pc and it's not even that good according to what people are saying here? Wow, i think i may take a pass on the next CD projekt red game.
I don't think it'd be next Edgerunners, at least, I hope not. There's barely anything shown in the announcement and I'm hoping it's about V, but I suspect that it'll be about Johnny and Alt. Yellow/Blue interface like Johnny's in-game interface color with Blackwall effects, possibly hinting at Alt. Perhaps So Mi and Blue Eyes as well, tied to Phantom Liberty. Remember how CDPR had interviews with Songbird, Alt, Rogue's VAs months ago? Maybe they had something to do with this. But that's a topic for another thread, I suppose.
I certainly hope there will be at least one more, properly done update coming along with the series. Would be an optimal timing to drop one.
I have Fallout: New Vegas waiting in the pipeline to start and when I see all the mods and bug fixes for this game, this makes me think how the developers could have left it in this state.
I may have misunderstood this sentience but if you are referencing FO Vegas state of un-polish it was in large part because the DEV (Obsidian) was rushed and handicapped by Bethesda. New Vegas was given 18 months to cook, see this:
I believe then they had no legal access to it after release. Bethesda would have to been the ones to "fix it".
And xbox ? btw we still have that low radio music problem ,, must turn my tv way high to get some music out of it and yes it all set to 100%
after the last update i lost 200hr of gameplay because of the loading/saving problem !! so yeah why do i ask for update ? nevermind keep your fsr because it only gets worse .. it was perfect for me but 2.12 realy fck me over. got fck by a metrostation and should have added turn off screen space reflections. last time i buy a game of you guys WHY dont you listen to the gamers .

Indeed. The state New Vegas had to release in was far more disadvantaged than Cyberpunk. Although, I don't think it's official that they had no legal access? They released updates and 4 story DLCs after the launch. Also Obsidian was known for its bugginess back then, but a lot of gamers tend to be a lot harsher towards 'buggy games' than actual Bethesda games. And Bethesda as a publisher could've done better QA for NV. It's still remarkable what NV achieved despite such a short development period.
they don't get a pass from me just because they release something new in the realm of cyberpunk that doesn't have to do with the game itself. anyone who gives [...]

The post was not to blame anyone, just stating the fact. I haven't played it yet, so have no opinion on it, but it seems the game is very well regarded and played after so many years... And I think CP2077 will be played for a long too. WIth all the perspective, it's a bit like Leonardo da Vinci would leave Mona Lisa not fully done, deciding it's "good enough" and time to move on...
after the 2.13 update, my game on steam will no longer start no matter what I try or do, run it with or without mods. I have done several clean reinstalls. No avail. I've een working on it a few days now, it's useless and frustrating. I will now attempt to revert to 2.12 and disable updates by editing the app manifest. It ran perfectly fine before. Thank you for breaking the game and wasting my time for something nobody needed.

That's a real shame. Wish this update fixed something, not break more Could it be because you ran with mods at least once? Have you tried launching the game without Steam?

Just to be sure, by "clean reinstalls", you mean this?
Most importantly, manually delete these folders which are not removed by uninstalling the game with the launcher:
> Cyberpunk 2077 folder from here: %userprofile%\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\
> REDEngine and CD Projekt Red folders from here %userprofile%\AppData\Local\
If you can't see the folder in Windows Explorer window then select:
Because otherwise, there are great chance the game no longer starts because of remaining mod data in game files. Also keep in mind that loading a save in which mods were ativated on an "unmodded" game could cause issues or crashes too.

No, it isn't: the Monna Lisa doesn't have a ton of unfixed (and offten irritating) bugs introduced by "Leonard" himself. This kind of behavior is wrong and even offensive: I remember well the video in which they ..., ask for trust (!) and talk about their "commitment to quality". After a year of time (!) to fix problems they themselves addressed with the previous patches (!), they left all the problems exactly where they was and entrenched in silence (!) and just add the FSR in its worst implementation when 3.1 wich is WAY better is available and totally free/open source. For me they have definitively lost ANY credibility. I will no longer buy any of their future games.

I agree, to compare this game to da Vinci's work doesn't feel... right, to me. And they had fixed many previous bugs for years but I totally get your sentiment. It's not right for them to be radio silent and abandon other bugs, especially the ones that have occurred after 2.0/Phantom Liberty. For me, this kind of behavior is certainly going backwards from what they've asked for us for all these years - trust, patience, support in exchange for their commitment, basically. As much as I still love this game and the expansion, I'll continue to be more doubtful and careful with my time and money for their future works(games, animations, merchandises, etc) until they properly fix these issues.
patch 2.13 gives:
-Improvements to DLSS
-Newest implementation of XESS 1.3
-Older implementation of FSR that is broken.
Given the talented devs at CDPR, we know that this isn't due to a lack of resources nor ability. It was a choice. Perhaps (hopefully not a weird leap in logic nor a conspiracy) one forced by NVidia to have FSR on an older implementation at all times -as the version gap between XESS and FSR is nonsensical.
moreover, it was a choice, to never fix the broken console version of FSR upscaling on xbox series systems;
moreover, perhaps a choice, as forced by AMD to never have XESS dp4a as a console upscaler since it's objectively better than that of FSR 2.x/3.x.
-The DLSS and XESS implementations are not broken nor are they on older versions of the upscaler
The devs at CDPR are very talented; the bugged out and bad implementation of FSR in this game is perhaps the worst FSR implementation in all of gaming. The XESS 1.3 implementation isn't busted at all; so something is up.
We love CDPR games but whatever corpo nonsense that is at play here needs to be resolved. Gamers deserve better. Especially us console gamers. We know they can do it; it's just corpo nonsense.
I notice that the moderators are very active, so instead of just censoring, I want to tell you that I know how to solve all the problems of cyberpunk, the game now works as before. The problem is the RAM and XMP profiles that have always been unstable! Now it may be that 80% of the customers have a RAM memory out of two defective and consequently on 16GB only 8-9GB works, you have to set the paging file between 200-3000 on the disk on which the game is installed.
The Rockstart and Bardurgatez titles are able to take the paging file from the disk on which windows is installed, yours cannot do this.

I am continuing investigations by moving the RAM, I want to point out that I have been studying the problem for over 5 months.
The problem appeared after the next-gen update of Fallout 4,
it affected all cracked and purchased rockstar games, and then also affected the Bardurs Aiz 3 menus.
It is concluded that 90% of users have not correctly installed their Nvme SSD which causes 60% of the problem, unfortunately a manual is not given at the time of purchase that explains all the needs and phases to be carried out in the Bios, not even graduate technicians can know it, because either you know it or you don't.
Usually the RAM has optimized slots, which improve performance, changing slots the crashes stop, so the problem could be the motherboard and in fact the z390 A-prime did not receive updates during the Sars Gatez-19 crisis that affected Intel processors.
All this supports the definitive theory that the problem is connected to Windows 11, motherboard and RAM + XMP.
If CD Projekt is made up of adults, I recommend contacting Nvidia as they are aware of the fact that all of this can be solved using a pill: use FXAA instead of MSAA or TAA.
But we all know that pills are good for health and bad for education.
Here we are talking about industrial espionage, sabotage and attempts to boycott products and brands.
I do not accept opinions, it's just the way it is.
I point out that the I5-9000 is the most used processor currently (about 80% of the WORLD) hitting the processor and motherboard means hitting the whole world. The PS5 pro uses a zen2 processor with imperceptibly superior capabilities, the PS4gate that sank Cyberpunk hid the prelude to the largest hacker attack in modern history...
Bartmoss theory
Um, no. Conflating NVMe installation with RAM slot priority is an instant fail, of course. It's not even remotely the same problem.
For RAM "bank" issues, you can solve them simply by placing *identical* sticks of RAM in the *same-colored* slots on a motherboard (they have 2 colors for a reason). This is an issue that's as old as 80x86 motherboard design, and is NOT some sort of new event or conspiracy.
OK I have read through all the comments here .. Is nobody else noticing all the little things they did fix, but they did not mention in the patch notes ???
I dont know why they did not list them, maybe embarassed idk. But a few things I have seen while playing through again, and note these were all problems on PC before 2.13 (this is just a PC release I believe) :
Keyboard is now once again more responsive - This was a major put off for me, and I mostly havent played in the last year because of it. When running and you come across a threat you want to hide from, hitting the C key now consistently makes you slide again into the crouched position. Prior to 2.13 this was a bit hit n miss if it worked at all, now it works all the time just fine.
Many instances of bodies floating in the air when they shouldn't be - I reported loads of these before I gave up playing, and having now just gone around all those places I found they have all been fixed.
There were some bad holes in the floor - Like bits of pavement missing next to a building in the corpo areas, admittedly they were a bit hard to find, but you could literally fall through the holes, those have been fixed.
Lots of instances where street "ornaments" were floating - Loads of these have been fixed. There are still some dotted around like one corner of an elevated highway has a bit of geometry poking through from below it, and those few places where there is loads of junk / bin bags and amongst them you will find a floating can or chair. There's one place where the ground dips for a few meters then levels off again, and the junk there is floating above the dip as if it was grounded before the dip was added. But these are hard to find areas that have been missed, most of the more obvious ones are remedied.
That last line in the patch notes "Other stability and visual fixes", I think they just couldn't collate everything that was fixed, because the list was not insignificant.
The biggest one for me is the feel of the new levelling up of armour/cybergear/weapons. All of this was overhauled in a previous update, but wasn't quite balanced - The whole overhaul and how it progresses in 2.13 now feels much better.
The wandering police men randomly targetting you in cases you would think they should not - I think they have done more work here too. Though they still turn on you where you think helping them out would be appreciated, nope, they just red mist on anyone in the vicinity with a weapon out .. gonks. But now getting away from them seems a little bit easier at least. And if a wandering NCPD has got 20 meters beyond a gang, I now feel safe launching a Contagion at the gang before piling in with a Katana, NCPD dont seem to have as much of a keen eye reacting to fights as they used to.
Anyway, start a new game and try it all out. I think some of you may be pleasantly surprised. I'm not just being a fanboy here extolling the virtues, I have been as suprised by the fixes found as anyone else would be, given the sparce patch notes for 2.13. I just genuinly believe there is much more to this than just FSR 3 (dont care about it personally, I much prefer DLSS on my NVidia card).
I have never played with mods, so there is no question of those making any difference, in my case the differences between 2.13 and the previous version are plain to see.
I do hope there is one more polishing update before CDPR wrap in on this title.
But for now, thank you for all the minor improvements you guys made over the last year.
Very much appreciated.
