- and there are many logical explanation why they have Yennefer there. But you won't listen because you want Triss to be there.

I don't have an issue with Yen being there. There are no logical reasons why Triss shouldn't be there, nor her romance being able to be referenced.

What stops them to make enhanced edition like they do in TW2? They can add more scenes with Triss, Yen, Ciri, more detailed ending (with info of other minor characters like Blood Baron, Keira, witchers, people of the Lodge etc.).

We've discussed this a couple time but there isn't a 'real' answer, only speculation...

I think it has its roots in two sources, CP2077 and the effort CDPR put into TW3:TWH retail box sets. As soon as they do TW3:EE they would basically have to recall all the originals. Not REALLY recall them but, why buy the old original then have to download 60GB of game from the web? They spent a LOT to make this final game really special. Gave the buyers of the various special editions and collector's editions something WORTH the cost! PLUS, the reprinting of a new EE box will cost, publishing it will cost AND the distribution will cost.

That last point all directs ones attention to point 1a from above: Cyberpunk 2077. By the end of our two year cycle, CDPR will be foaming at the bit to get EVERYone away from TW and onto the new CP2077 projekt! Also, every penny they spend on TW3 is a penny they don't have to spend on their NEW favorite baby!

However, several things could rise-up to complicate CDPR's grand plan...first, 4 mil copies sold in 14 days! IF they can sell another 4 mil by the Holiday season? I think the plan gets a little more shaky. IF they sell 90% of their physical copies in the next year...I think we will assuredly get an EE!!!

It is all about the money my friends! If CDPR can make enough cash from this cow before its time to slaughter her...they might actually do a LOT of things we don't anticipate right now. WHO knows what they will do if TW3 threatens to unseat Skyrim in less than 24 months! 4mil copies in 14 days? Skyrim only 'shipped' 7 mil copies in the first month...and shipped is not a sale in-and-of-itself does make! :)

Save your time lol seems like a waste of effort explaining to this guy, all he has done is come on here, say we are all wrong and ignore our responses.
Keeps saying we are anti Yen, when I actually like Yen. Difference is she has enough of a presence, whereas as Triss is barely refered to and has little to no interaction with other characters when there were plenty of opportunities to do so.

Example: she is in Novigrad, so why the hell does she have no interaction with Zoltan and Dandilion, they are friends aswell and spoke during Witcher 2.

First of all, I want to thank CD Projekt RED for Witcher series. It is just amazing that such awesome games was made by them Many thanks.
Second, I was really happy, that I was not alone concerned about Triss storyline in the game. Most of things that I've wanted to say was already said by other people. But here is some thoughts of mine.
First one is the interaction between Geralt and Yen in Skellige. Before that Geralt said Triss that he loves her. Then there was this awesome lighthouse scene. But when Geralt meets Yen in Skellige he behaves as if nothing had happened. He is flirting with Yen and the player don't have any possibility to stop it - its like you dont have any choise.
The second thing that makes me sad is that you don't have any possibility to say Yen "It's over, I am with Triss now" before her quest with Djinn. It's like Geralt is still in love with Yen and only after Djinn breaks the spell he could say, that in fact he loves Triss.
But I really belive that CDPR will do something with that in future DLC or fixes.

It's one part they can bypass as it could be explain by the Djinn spell. Obviously I would love to have a big update with enhanced Triss relationship from the start to the end of the game but if they have to choose It's not the biggest issue IMO even if it's disapointing of course.

I believe, in my other playthrough(Yen romance) this trip to KM was the last bit of romantic feeling interaction with Yen. There was one spot later, I think it was RIGHT before the battle when you have the 'what will be do after...' conversation but, as I remember it, Yen was pretty cold and unemotional even with the romance=on with Geralt from KM onward. "The Kiss" upon Ciri's return was an anomaly as it happens no matter the choice of romance...so, can't really count that.

It just points all the fingers(or THE finger) at CDPR writers and especially their QA staff for not catching these kinds of things. It just continues to remind us that CDPR's original intent was to focus Geralt on Yen alone. I think they just ran out of time...I believe in the company, their writers are so good and the QA folks caught most of the major issues. I really think they found all this stuff but there just wasn't time(or motivation...hope it isn't that) to fix it without further delays.

I fully expected Kaer Morhen to the be the moment where both romances and fallout got there moment in the sun before Ciri arrived. Sadly it wasn't and hence its the portion of the game i dislike most. I'd consider the kiss to have to count(as it must add to the yen romance experience)even if it's like a slap across the face with cold dead fish for Triss romancers. A bit like the forced flirting earlier must help the Yen romance.

Part of me refuses to believe the idea that they ever entertained removing choice from the game. I really hope there is a desire and an ability to fix things somewhat.

So if someone were to come and say that they dont care how much time, money, blood, passion and sweat CDPR gave to make these games, the books are the only thing worth a damn (and add a bit of elitism against gaming as a lesser art form just for good measure)... you would be fine with that ?

And i will understand it. Because they have reasons to think in that way. And i have my reasons to not mess with mods. I've already told you about them.

Friends, I urge you to promote the hashtag #MoreTriss Twitter. Do not forget to leave a link to the forum, so that everyone can vote for adding content to our beloved Triss. :)

Well... fine then. At least you are consistent.

But we wont see eye to eye on this matter.

For the record I agree with you, I love mods especially in Bethesda games, its what makes them good.
But lets put this debate to rest, some people just don't like modding their games.

Back to topic, CDPR please show us you are aware of this thread!!!

Sorry didn't check the name of who i was responding to. Fixed it going forward.

Yes sir...I got bit by this trollolo HARD yesterday...I mean in the south we have a nice fishing reference when you bite on something like that: "I Fell for that: hook, line AND sinker!" In my defense, it was early and I hadn't tangled with one on THIS board...friends helped me figure it out! :)

EDIT: After getting slammed yesterday for assuming a poster was a "HE" @vcook10 (my wife is STILL laughing...makes it all the more fun!) I led with a "Yes sir..." here. I never learn huh :D

edit EDIT: Does anyone know if there is an "Ignore User" feature on this forum? I've looked in the usual places but I couldn't find one. I know a LOT of forums offer that...it would be GREAT in this case ;)

Don't forget about Fallout 4. It's a beast. I hope it will not steal much money from CDPR.

Yeah...8 mil by Christmas MIGHT be tough considering the last numbers I saw on Skyrim was 20mil at the 4 year mark. If TW3 could grab 8-12 by the end of 2016, or even if projections showed that kind of movement, we might still get something 'special' as a parting gift :)

Really don't use twitter but, if you can create the hash tag we can retweat and follow to show our support.

When the CDPR mod kit is released, I'm sure your wishes will be fulfilled (assuming you're playing the PC version).

It doesn't matter anyway because mods can't add anything to the story. And that's the point of this thread. Having Geralt's story full and complete without any plot holes and broken logic.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Part of it depends on resources like dialog in the game that was never used. In Skyrim, for example, Lydia, the first follower, had additional dialog that modders could use to flesh her out a little. Even if there isn't with Triss, a good modder could piece together resources to fix the 'Well' problem easily without introducing any holes because it's simply a response, not part of any quest.

There are some very talent modders out there that can rival what the devs can do, and there's plenty of them in the Nexus community who have released some imaginative stuff. Being an RPG, TW3 is all about players making choices and contributing to this fantasy world, modding opens that up even more.

Sounds like you bury our hopes in a deep grave. At least small DLC, damn... This game touches you.

Oh no...you misunderstand me. I have a LOT of faith in the continued sales of TW3. I just don't know if it will be enough to get CDPR to rethink their plan, their 'road-map' for the company.

I've said a couple of time though, if they can make enough profit to justify an EE or a 3rd or more Paid Expansion, I firmly believe CDPR will do it. The question is, how much profit needs to be made to make it worth slowing down CP2077? CDPR is a company dedicated to making great games...that works in the customer's favor! They are also about making money...that TOO works in the customer's favor.

In the end, I don't think they will leave cash out there unharvested. But we have to understand, a 1 to 1 ratio won't make it worth it. They would need probably a 2 to 1 type investment to get their attention and I don't have a clue how they figure that out.

I've done my part, I have an expansion pass already paid for and I will buy every bleedin thing they put out for this...I've even went back and bought TW1 & TW2 because I love this game so much! I plan on buying another copy of TW3 for my wife as soon as they announce their intention to 'fix' the FEW glaring issues we have pointed out in this and other discussion threads.
