What weapons do you want to see in the game?

+
Would prefer a ceramic knife, its more concealable and subtle

or a Tanto (like Konrad)

Man all I have to say is that I have had to hump around a 9 pound M-14 with ammo at 1.5 pounds per 20 round magazine. Screw that noise. Give me a needle gun any day of the week, I can carry twice the ammo at half the weight. Guns should be like your cell phone: bigger is not better or cooler, smaller is. I want all of the optics and modifications to be internal to the weapon so that it holsters/slings quickly. While bullpup design for cased ammunition rifles makes ambidextrous use problematic, caseless ammo fixes that.

Really give me an H&K G-11 that has solved the fouling problem with AP rounds and I will be happy. Tricked out with a ton of crap bolted to it just means that it has more systems that can fail, that is why the AK-47 is the best assault rifle to date: a child can field strip it and it is damn near impossible to jam.

There's a place for any kind of gun. I want some that only FBCs and mechs can use, and yep, smaller easily concealable ones. In fact, the existance of these and specially they being built with hands are kind of a giveaway that they've been built to make use of these, becoming adaptive. The pics of weapons that Dethfuk and Gibson just put here are the tits.

TBH I am just posting gun porn pictures, my ideal set up is a pistol, PDW and a ceramic knife which I have posted about before.

BUT if the situation requires it I would want a large assault rifle, rail gun etc against FBC's, armoured troops etc cause a needler would be chuffing useless

Also as Decatonkeil said, Dethfuk and I post pics that are 'the tits'

...not feelin' it.

Seems like a lot of wasted space, for a submachine gun. I'd rather use the ol' H&K MP5. Just my opinion, of course.

a mp5 over the vector? mp5 is 9mm while the vector is 45 acp.......I defiantly choose the vector, more stopping power plus it looks cooler and more futuristic.

MP5 is too old school, at least have a MP7

I prefer the more modern PDW's and stuff like the Tavor, Vector etc.

If I am playing a decently equipped solo, I will want more modern, cyberpunk versions of these weapons

I appreciate that cyberpunk in general in very 1980's orientated but MP5's are a hang over from 80's action movies

Yeah, CP2020 doesn't lack for updated weapons. Calibres tend to be the same, but after that it gets interesting.

New polmers and alloys making weapons ighter and more reliable. Better machining and construction techniques making them more accurate. Caseless ammunition saves space, so you can sometimes get more ammo in there. Shiny new toys for the dark future where firepower is as important as your next meal.

Then you get shit like the Teen-Dream...

(I know, I can't believe anyone would do that to a SIG... I nearly cried...)

Woah woah woah, clip your string Chatty Cathy. :) The thread is what guns do you want to see? I am not attacking your choices, I am just stating mine. It is very possible that we have different aesthetics when it comes to gun porn. When you look at the pics that Thewarsend posts you see good weapons with rails on them, the rails are a way to modify weapons that sacrifice 'mobility' for modabiity. The design aesthetic that I want to see is the ability to make these modifications internal to the weapon, like the LaserMax laser sight for pistols that takes the place of the recoil spring, you can still holster your favorite semi auto pistol in a stock holster and have a laser sight.

On the subject of piercing armor. A "needle gun" is exactly what you want, unless you are planning to use a shaped charge round. It is all about delivering maximum kinetic energy to the smallest crosssectional area. Remember you get more KE for your buck from velocity than you do from mass. A "needle gun" uses this principle just as the APFSDS (armor piercing fin stabilized discarding sabot) tank round does.

CP2013 still had the MP5, though CP2020 had several updates on it.
The MPK-9 was a 9mm light SMG
The MP-2013 was a 10mm medium SMG, (and a reall workhorse at that.)
The MPK-11, MPK-20, MPK-2020 were all 12mm Heavy SMG's
