What would Fix the game for you?

+
Had a decent first play. Half a dozen hard crashes. Some texture loading issues. Wasn't unplayable at all even on a late model Ps4.

I rather enjoyed it.

Just keep working on it. All will be well.

I would like to finish robbing the crystal palace casino and upload my existing V into a new body. Then return to my excellent rooftop condo in NC for some sweet PvP action on a multiplayer DLC.

Hi Cyberpunk people

I completed the main story and all side quests
30 hours +-

what would fix the game for you? in your honest opinion?

we waited 8 years, is this what you expected?

what could the red devs add/remove/fix in this game it make it better?

I tried to do as many secondary quests as possible before completing the main storyline because I feared it would have been as short as Skyrim's ( and it was ) but I still managed to complete the game relatively fast , watched all of the endings and went back doing all of the remaining secondary quests I had left...

So far the game is pretty buggy , whether it be graphics or the AI behaving in some silly way or anything else I'd like that to get fixed .

Driving sucks , especially when it comes to cars . It feels pretty annoying to try and turn with a car . Needs a fix .

I'd definitely like a third person mode ( makes no sense to spend hours in character creation if you never get to see V for the whole game ) .

It would be neat if the mirror could be used to re-create V whenever you feel like you are not satisfied with your current appearance anymore .

The story feels too short and so do the secondary quests , I would definitely like some additions .

The clothing system is very odd and makes no sense ( this bra is more protective than your arasaka bullet-proof jacket ) , you always end up looking like you are some sort of crazy hobo due to the lack of clothing sets or to the ability to just have a "fashion only" appearance which overwrites your armor and can be customized by the player....and ultimately ( but it might be due to the fact I play on hard ) armor feels like a completely useless stat ( seriously , I either one shot or get one shot...no in between...it's dumb ) . I also would like more variety ( lots of the npcs have p cool clothing sets but they don't seem to ever become available to the player...I am sure many people would like to be able to wear those Arasaka military / ninja sets or even just some of the casual stuff you see around ) .

Stealth feels very very odd due to the way all of the enemies are connected between themselves and to the cameras and one mistake is all it takes for 20+ people to detect you and know where you are at all times until you kill them all or die in the process , the alert level doesn't seem to reset either . Enemies placement feels rather horrible too and will sometimes prevent you from being able to take them out without being seen ( and there isn't always some machine to hack into to conveniently distract them ) .

Throwing knives and the whole stealth skills tree in general need to be reworked , they are just not all that great ( there's just a few good abilities in there while the others feel pretty disappointing ; other skills trees such as the blades one or the hacking one happen to be very good instead ) .

Talking about weapons the choice feels rather limited...it would be nice to have more weapon types both talking about melee and ranged weapons....there's no rocket launchers , no bows or other sorts of asian or even just european / american weapons...and there's still too little stuff that actually feels sci-fi ( sure , the game takes place in only 50 years from now but all of the cars , weapons and such feel like they haven't really progressed at all... ) .

I don't like the way cyberware is locked behind builds as it makes you unable to try out a lot of interesting stuff which is actually a rather important part of the game and I don't like how little cyberware's in the game ( the nomads even talk about cloaking augmentations at some point but no bisturi sells anything like that , you see enemies dashing around super fast but you can't purchase anything similar , ecc... ) .

The inventory needs to be reworked ( I'd like to be able to lock the weapons / armor pieces I want to keep when depositing stuff and have a "deposit all / withdraw all" option ) , I'd like to be able to change the UI's color ( red is fairly confusing at start for as much as you get used to it ) .

Crafting being restricted by your tech ability feels kinda dumb....what if the player didn't invest their attribute points into crafting ? They'll never be able to make anything relevant by the time they complete the game . It's kind of a pity .

Again...idk if this is me playing on "hard" or not but I find it silly how I either one shot my 20+ opponents without getting hit or I get one shot myself . Does armor even matter at this point ? Do your hp ? I was able to do everything anyway but it's still kind of silly .

I also kind of wish the player had more freedom in general...talking about their choices and the impact they have on the story / secondaries quest , talking about your background ( seriously...why have a nomad and a corpo go through more or less the same story and deal with more or less the same enviroments ? ) .

Ultimately....a dedicated dodge button for PC . Breaking out of stealth cause you tried to adjust your position a second is silly .

I think this is all I'd want from this game for now or at least it's all that came up to my mind in the immediate present .
Still , Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot of potential and is a rather nice game...just needs to be polished . A lot .

Beside bug fixes, I would like to see the quality of life improvements

Maybe doable;
  • items having their level visible in the inventory
  • ability to walk/run/sprint on PC
  • ability to drive slow or sprint with "shift" on PC—when V burns tires as soon as I touch W the car lost control (unless I go straight).
  • ability to disassemble item even in upgrade menu.
  • ability to take out mods of from the items—it is really just annoying more than ait does anything for balance
  • priority on picking up items over talking (or interacting with mirror etc)
  • skip dialog and crouch should not be the sam—often I want to stand up for dialog and insted skip part of it
  • double tap to dodge is OK in the combat but sucks while sneaking
  • better sorting of shards, messages etc—why are all tabs open by default and why there is no "by time" sorting? Why encrypting shard in-game (not in manu) is just closed? Maybe mark quest shards that need to be read?
  • better map filters—why cars for sale has the same icon as missions? As bonus I would welcome ability to have checkboxes for filters.
  • consumables that do the same thing should be stacked to one item in the inventory
  • get rid of random effect when crafting

    Hard to do probably but important;

  • The better AI for Cops + actually some crime system
  • better AI for drivers that just dont stop in hte middle of the road causing jam and are able to avoid simple obstacle.
  • better AI for enemies. So they run from greandes f.e.

    Unrealistic;

  • change the item system ala looter shooter to something more sensibile for the setting/theme, where cotton shirt is not better than bulletproof vest because some lvl or rarity or other arbitary gamey arcade mechanics. Where you do not have to harvest evrything and compare 1000 versions (50lvl x 5ranks x random effects) of the same 9mm gun just to make the grind longer like some addictive MMO or one handed bandit.
  • make cyberware visible on player

Yup, way too short

Being able to play at least at ~30 FPS. So far the game its unplayable.

A concrete REAL explanation to why this game turned this way...

And language mods, I hate that we can understand everyone when we did not buy a language mod ingame. It was supposed to be a thing that if they spoke Japanese or French or Spanish you could not understand them unless you bought the language mod ingame.

I don't ask for a lot at the moment..
  • just.. stop moving my camera while I'm driving in 3rd person; I want it where I placed it!
  • and.. the Johnny subtitle bug (yeah, yeah, I fixed it, but it keeps coming back).

Where can I start?

Okay, if I don't talk about any thing related to my personal tastes, the game definitely needs some re-adjustments:
  • Additional Music Settings
So there are two sources of music in Cyberpunk 2077 - RADIO ( in car or in radio devices around the city ) & AMBIENT which is dynamic (action music during COMBAT) and more subtle out of combat. SO I suggest the following:
    • separate ON/OFF switch for COMBAT music
How it works: AMBIENT music can be kept on or off during COMBAT ( no RADIO ) but the AMBIENT music is present outside of COMBAT
    • separate ON/OF switch for RADIO ( both in-car and world radio devices )
How it works: RADIO can be turned on or off game-wide, but doesn't mess with AMBIENT music

With this implementation, player can specify when and what type of music they'd like to hear in any situation given. For example if you play stealth, you may want the music to be completely turned off so you can focus on the noises NPCs produce - if enemies are alerted or you are in direct combat, the music may be overwhelming.
  • Weapon & equipment wheel (ALT button) is totally unresponsive, too slow to work with and counterintuitive
    • press ALT (not hold, PRESS) to access the wheel
    • hovering mouse over any weapon will automatically select it - no need to confirm with left mouse click to select a weapon... ( why? just why? )
    • change grenade type with A MOUSE WHEEL ( why do I need to press Q / E ??? totally counterintuitive and takes too much time and the responsiveness is just horrible with keyboard compared to mouse )
  • Press Q/E to lean !!! the automatic lean system sucks, let us do it manually, it will be usable in many more situations than what the currently automated system is capable of
  • DON'T INTERRUPT ME WHILE I AM SPEAKING - HOW DARE YOU?!
Seriously, there are multiple scenarios where multiple NPCs are talking, even V is talking sometimes at the same time, it's a complete mess.
For example there was an important chat face to face with a story character, while other important story character called me on the phone, I couldn't hang, couldn't say "hold on, wait a sec" couldn't do anything. Both NPCs were talking their $hit to me like no one cares while I was not able to listen to both. I would expect such situations handled well in a 3AAA game.
If I come with any other suggestions, I will post them for sure. I want this game to become best version possible.

Oh yea, I remember that article! Also the famous words of: View attachment 11099900
Ah yes. Still stings a little, that
Probably in January. This 2 patchs, 1.04/1.05 was to crash insues, emergencial.
2021 will show which direction CDPR takes and at least for me it'll be make or break. Everything leading up to 1.1 can be bugfixes and whatever they need to do. January and Febuary can be used to fix console version like they announced, alright. After that? It's either fix Cyberpunk NMS style or squeeze it dry to focus on other projects, like all the big publishers do.

As much as I love the game, I think they should fix bugs, then add features cut, back, then add some module system to add jobs/gigs easily. This way they can add more depth to the content without having to alter core game code to add it.

*Spoiler Alert*

Forget the bugs in the game because they can be fixed at some point.

Honestly, this story is a mess. I am suppose to be V but in reality I feel like I am Johnny Silverhand. I don't even understand the point of this story. I have this chip in my head and I am trying to survive only to not be able to survive and I fine no real information about what is going on with the world. What does Silverhand bring to the game?? Is he just a reason to kill off my character V?? How does my character affect the world?? It would have been better to be caught in the middle of a corporate battle between Arasaka and Millitech than what we got. I am sorry but this story feels pointless and I was not connected to V at all. V didn't have to be a hero but V should have had a purpose.

Relationships in this game are HORRIBLE. I don't know how in the world they thought these relationships were organic. There was nothing organic about them. No connection whatsoever. I cant tell you how immersion breaking it was answering Jackie the way my V did in the elevator. Later while talking to his mother who is pouring her heart out on the phone and my V says I gotta go was also immersion breaking. The romances were not treated fairly whatsoever. I have heard about some very awkward dialogue with Judy and the cya Judy. I have experienced my own awkward dialogue with River. I have not heard much about Panam and Kerry. Here is the thing. Panam is in your face the entire game practically. She is part of the main quest. Then the Saul rescue and then she is calling again. I can see how that might be a more ORGANIC relationship but the rest seems to be a side piece in every way. River was a side quest that could be easily missed. Kerry isn't even introduced until well into the game. Judy is time gated which is ridiculous.

Maybe they needed some women writers to add some emotion to the game. The game had so little emotion I didn't really care who died including my V because I had no connection. The few characters I did connect with were not even front and center in the game. I don't care what anyone says but this ending was Mass Effect 3 all over again. There are no real multiple endings. You die the only choice is how...LOL This is the story?? That's it?? Where is the replay value so I can die another way? Yeah no thanks. I am sorry but there is no real way to fix this game for me. Move on is what I say.

Sigh I had more...

The PHONE system is the most annoying thing is this game. How I am I going to be in the middle of a conversation with an NPC and the phone rings AND GETS ANSWERED. Now I have the NPC saying V?? While I am answering the caller. Nonsense.

I'm sure they have heard enough about the police system too so I am not going to bother.

Not focusing on fluff and irrelevant stuff the "GTA" crowd wants. It won't make the game better and takes precious time away from making the game CDPR wanted to make in the first place. And thats not on the developers, if they had enough time im sure they would have made the game they wanted. Clearly this company has a massive problem with those upper guys but thats history now the game is out. Two things, first and this is fixable with or without CDPR but no one knows how long it will take.

1. Make enemy AI way more responsive and aggressive. The game also needs a complete overhaul when it comes to difficulty at this moment the game is way too easy to break without even trying, 1/3 through the game on very hard there is little challenge left. This again is something that can be fixed and sure will be but with time of course.

2. Choices and consequences. Now with this one the train has left the station im afraid. The only way they can redeem themselves is if they take this as one of their big priorities for both expansions. I'm sure the stories will be great but how much on rails will it be? The promotional two missions they showed, voodoo boys and maelstrom where the ones with the most choices and consequences. This one is truly a disappointment for me as i had no unrealstic expectations as other people but i expected a bit more then that. Especially as V was supposed the be more of our character then Geralt but here we are. The only problem i feel is this is sadly lower on their priority because its way more time consuming then giving players a burger stand where they can eat or go bowling with their favorite srpski cyberpsycho.

I just want to point out that i think this is a good game, at times when everything comes together an even fantastic game but those 2 things i find to be very important. If they manage to fix the enemy AI in the upcoming months and choices with expansions i can see this being another Witcher 3 or even better. If they concentrate on the fluff maybe with the idea to get better media coverage they will have fixed ultimately nothing with the core game.

Hi,

There is a lot of things that do not work in this game, but i try to focus on the most important ones:

1. Perks and Atributes. Its the most boring, lazy and unrewording RPG system that i've seen in last couple of years. There is no skills no rewords in finishing moves or cool unique weapons or cloths, this system could litterly do not exist and in wouldn't impact game play at all. All you get is stat boost all the time. Wee need Finishers and skill like killing 2 enemies at onece with you knife or taking enemy and using them as a shild when you rushing to next enemy some things intresting that will make our faces smile when we execute them

2. Missions: Don't get me wrong main story and all Panam, Judy, Kerry, River and Peralez quest line were ammazing but all the other ones were generic, boring and repeatable. It was just 3 steps mission, Go, Kill every one and take whats left from them. No diversity no intresting story and almost no reword except a gold and exp. I want some thing like W3 where i had mission that had almost always some solid back story and some times i could see what changed in world after some time.

3. Balance: This was the one that hit me most. I played on highest dificulty but i didn't feel chalange at all. And on my secound run on the lowest dificulty i was runing with my fist whole time as a netrunner with 0 points in my body and i was killing everything.

4. Enemies: this one is connected with no. 3 becouse enemies are dump af and couldn't get any chalange. they need to be smarter.

5. "Living" city + police system: Ok, i can't understand how in the world system in GTA San Andreas was way better than one in Cyberpunk. Civilians and cars are retarded, police spowning every where and they are usless becouse you can just run for a little while and you lose them. Police should spam at specific location and drive all the way to me after some time and not just jump out of nowhere. And civilians should defend them self from time to time meaby even some mini bosses among them that could attak me when i try to do some thing stupid.

6. Bugs: Afcourse there is a tons of bugs so mutch that i start to think that it some ester egg like 2077 bugs and they deliberetly put them there ... it need to be fixed.

7. Costumization: I need some shops to paint my clothes and cars + some playces where you can change skins of you clothes and how you character look like hairs or finger nails. I know that its FP game and you do not see you character, but thats a shame. I would like to see him when i runing around town or do some non combat mission. Give ability to switch on 3rd person when you talk and first person when you fight that would be some thing.

I enjoyd story, soundtrack and landscape in this game but almost everything else is a mess.

A better stat/perk/leveling/streetcred/cyberware system. Especially a better cyberware system with WAY MORE choice, cosmetic and cost other than just the amount of slot you have ...

Hell, there should be a 6th stat dedicated to cyberware with perk and stuff (In the tabletop game the ''cyberware'' stat is EMP (Emphaty) that give you Humanity Point that limit the amount of cyberware you can get before losing your mind to cyberpsychosis).

Here some exemple of stuff they could add to the cyberware :
- Power kick or legblade (why only punch in game ?)
- Grapple arm - to climb higher ledge or hook an enemy mid fight or sneak semi-range take down
- Add utility to monowire like remote hacking (whould need a hacking revamp to nerf ping a bit ...)
- Be able to to use berserk/ Scandevian with a cyberdeck (maybe limit cyberdeck with hard intel requirement)
- Gorilla arm could give you a +6 body to open stuff up
- Monowire could give a bonus to hacking
- New utility arm/hand that give a tech bonus to some action (aka tech stuff) (like multi joint hand / swissknife hand)
- Thermal/X-Ray vision mod for eye (see throught wall will active but limited range view + see in black/white or tharmal scale)
- Skilljack - were you can slot perk shard with specific perk you can loot in the world (even if you dont have the stat requirement for the perk).
- Voice modulator that let you switch your voice between male and female
- Low-light lens that give you better vision in dark area
- Anti-Flashbang eye mod
- Zoom eye mod that control how far you can zoom with your eye
- Smuggling compartement (leg or arm) that let you pass a weapon in section of the game where you can't.
- Better armor cyberware that is more than just one slot that increase the overall
- Metabolic Enhancer that boost consummable effect
- Tazer hand
- Pheromone dispenser (could give you bonus dialogue / better bonus against a sex of your choice)

and all the cosmetic jazz - Color leg, hand, face reshaping etc etc ...

Cyberware should be cap somewhere else than just the amount of slot you have.

Whats driving me INSANE while playing this game so far is when I'm in my inventory and mouse over a weapon that i picked up OR already have and..the game doesnt show the stats of the weapon that I have my mouse over. THE GAME NEEDS TO SHOW US THE STATS OF THE WEAPON I HAVE MY MOUSE OVER AND WHAT IM CURRENTLY EQUIPTED WITH. Where's the common sense with this?

Also another thing I find weird in this open world game are the teleporters. What's the point in having us collect a ton of cars to travel around the city in if we can just zip and teleport from one part of town to the next? If we have some place that we are required to go, we need to be on foot or using a vehicle that's what makes this game open world. Teleporting makes the game seem smaller.

Let's start by opening up, the game is good but there are so many things that would make it more enjoyable to play. What I would like to see is transition from zones fixed, the population of zones dealt with, in areas where you can see through the world and see all the vehicles in the other zones, this is a huge issue as a vehicle goes over one zone to the next; they disappear or change or just plain stop. I believe this is what is causing the game the crashes. Currently the game will draw hundreds of vehicles Zone away from you and you can see them. It's not necessary if you're seeing vehicles from half or even 1/4 of the map away you will never catch up to them as they despawn right when you cross a zone.

You should be able to follow one vehicle and its route through the city, without it disappearing in front of you or even exploding or flying off the map. The next issue is layering of objects on top of the surface of the world. Vehicles people items anything spawning halfway into the ground should never happen, neither should they spawned floating well above the ground either.

One of the other issues luckily can be mitigated by reloading is the action of NPCs moving in unnatural ways, sometimes though it is true reloading. Causes this issue and one would have to load much further back in order to fix this erroneous momentum.

Above all the biggest thing I believe that is really messed up about the game is the fact that you can't actually build the character the way you want to build it. Where are all the Retro looking cybernetics, why do we have to use cybernetics. Clothing should be available in a much higher volume and more variability, each store currently sells random clothes and mods excetera excetera which is great but they should have a wat to see what they look like on your character, more options for how they look and even being able to upgrade properly (white to green...) or even just add extra slots.
