Why does it have to end at Level 50?

Just raise the lvl cap to 100 and make a few tweaks to the skill perks, it can be done and would increase replayability

There are way more games that have still trees and level cap's than those that don't. Even mmo's have still trees and level cap's.

Still trees and level cap's give the player a sense of progress, and character creation. And also gives you a purpose to keep looking for better loot, like guns and armor.

Instead of using the same gun or armor/clothing throughout the entire game.
Or giving the player the ability to use any weapon and automatically be stilled and using it. The player will need to think about their skill points and where they want to use them. This also connects the player more deeply with the character their playing. And give's the player a more role playing experience.

Skyrim, Fallout, Borderlands, and just about every game that has a skill tree has a Lvl cap. Why should this game be any different?
Skyrim doesn't. When you get a skill to 100 you can set it legendary and start again meaning you can gain levels indefinitely although most of the power comes from the trees and enemies do scale to your level as much as they can.

its a single player game...
Most of fun is in making builds and looking as they raise to power. In CP it happens way to quicker and way to absolute. If you want to be a netrunner you can bring legendary cyberdeck and hacks to Konpeki. It isn't supposed to be balanced for competitive play but just overall sanity check. Fix crafting/dismantling/upgrades quantities, quickhack damage/progression, more variance on cyberdecks and bit delayed cyberdeck progression or cyberdecks for non-main netrunner builds etc. or finetune cover penetration so tech weapons or buzzsaw can't shoot through mountain or concrete while LMG can't do plastic just like light pistol.

Even at hardest difficulty, at level 50, the game is easy as pie.
Had the same problem with TW3, had to download mods that made the game more challenging.

So in the current state of the game, that's the least of your problems, but I get where you're coming from.

What you're talking about is balancing of the game, the difficulty of the enemies may need adjusted that's true, but it has nothing to do with skill tree's or level cap's.

It is a pain in the A but i believe this might change with future dlc's (like in fallout new vegas / 3 where with dlc's your level cap increased by 5 each)

Try to hit Sykrim´s level cap. You can play for 500-1500 hours before you hit it. Same with Path of Exile, Warframe etc.
If you hit the 50/50 cap within 2 weeks time, this just feels bad. I expected more of this hyped game.

If I could change or recommend anything, it would be: The level cap is currently too easy to achieve, we need a much steeper learning curve to reach higher levels. There should be no level cap for this. Instead, skill points above level 50 should have higher requirements. For example, you might have to invest 2, 3, 4, etc. skill points in order to advance further.

IMHO level should be acquired based on talent trees progression and those do take time - like you would need lots of anihilation exp to level up so using lots of shotguns or LMG, just like in Skyrim. Most talent trees level up super slowly after few of their levels. Like netrunner build leveling breach protocol, combat hacking, stealth and cold blood at the same time won't reach 20/20 prior to hitting level 50 even if using nearly only that combo from stealt. Needs some mob farming even. Also stats could be based on those trees. It's little sense you can pick high stat perks without level up the tree first.

And the main part - enemies should have dynamic level, even if you are 50 the enemies will be like level 50 and 55 for bosses and higher on higher difficulties. Skyrim has this.
