Really tired today. Anyway. "Damn right I got the Blues." By Buddy Guy. You know he's awesome with a name like that. :p

And here's a classic one, originally by Robert Johnson. Or so they say.

This is one of the more popular pieces of Dvorak's opera Rusalka called Song to the Moon.
Some information: Rusalka is a female water nymph (like a mermaid) in Slavic mythology. According to most traditions, rusalki lived at the bottom of rivers and in the middle of the night, they would walk out to the bank and dance in meadows. If they saw handsome men, they would fascinate them with songs and dancing, mesmerize them, then lead them away to the river floor to their death.

This is probably Dvorak's most famous symphony (and best imho), his New World symphony.
Dvorak was interested in Native American music and the African-American spirituals he heard in America. He had an African-American student who sang traditional spirituals to him and said that Dvorak had absorbed their `spirit' before writing his own melodies.

Is there such a thing as the perfect 3 minute pop song?
