Will achievements influence how you play for the first time?

From my point of view, achievements is the best way to be bired with a game. They are thought to add replayability to the game, but in most forums people seem obsesed with them.

No. I play games for the enjoyment and not for some trophy. Been gaming a long time and have yet to figure out why achievements were ever added to any game - much less RPGs and / or Open World games.
But hey - those that enjoy that aspect of the game and have fun chasing them, my hats off to you. It's not my cup of tea.
