Steelseries programmable mouse buttons not recognized in game

I know I had this working in Witcher 2. The game is unplayable on KB/M for me if I can't bind some of the commands to my mouse. I am binding buttons to simple single characters - '4' '5' 'q' etc.

you may use x-mouse button control instead. works fine with all kind of hardware

If you are using some kind of additional software for your mouse, Steelseries or otherwise, try disabling or uninstalling it.

The game natively recognizes most gaming mouse side and extra buttons.
