I encountered some boats on which it's impossible to climb from water, only jump from above if you are on the ground. Is it a known bug and are there any workarounds?
Ay, there've been various odd issues with boats over the years. This thread contains a few incidents which might resemble the bug you've encountered. Personally, I've never experienced any trouble boarding, so I'm not certain of the cause.
I've had this happen before and IIRC it's one of the issues that can be fixed by saving and reloading (like that other thread's OP also apparently mentions).
Sometimes a boat I've just jumped out of to dive after a treasure or something won't let Geralt climb back in, sometimes a boat at a harbour won't allow climbing. It's rather random but thankfully really rare despite my game being heavily modded.
