Geralt and Cerys will not climb ledges correctly

I hope some fix can be done with my game.

Beat Cerys to the top of the mountain

Im having problems climbing the edge of the cliff, been trying several parts of the edge and geralt gets stuck the moment I click the climb button. Already restarted the game and i still experience the issue.

1.) Using any mods, or have you ever used any in the past?

2.) It could be the engine falling out of sync. Try locking FPS to 60 or 30 and see if it triggers properly.

--No, never used mods - but thought about using it as ive seen other reports on steam having this similar issue. what helped them was to summon loads of barrels and use it as a platform to jump over.

Just to help others that may encounter this, i managed to fix it by:

1. Verifying game files (not sure if this actually helped, wont hurt if I tried tho)
2. Find a different location where i can climb successfully and do it multiple times / jump over ledges (outside quest)
3. loading an earlier save file, right before accepting this quest.
