Geralt is dead every time i load a saved game.

Geralt is dead every time i load a saved game.

So whenever i load a saved game, geralt is down on the floor and i hear a slow heartbeat and everything is grey.
I can't do anything. It is probably a corrupt save file (Every save I try to open is this way). Is there a way for me to 'edit' the save file to see what my health is in game and maybe modify it?

I had the same problem towards the end of The Witcher 1. The only way I could fix it is by downloading a save game editor and editing the same game I was trying to load, giving Geralt some health. Eventually I got sick of doing this because I kept dying so I just made myself invincible for the last few hours />

Ok so the fix is quite simple then, the funny thing is a one point I could reach the menu. But I've started a new game and deleted the old saves. It's a fun game so it's not that bad.
