Hate "Sinnerman" quest! [Spoilers]

+
Dunno if you guys did this, but if you have high stealth u can run from the van when it stops, powerslide into stealth past the cop who ignores you and pop the crim before your gonk of a client gets himself offed.

Then leg it before the instawarping pigs kill you :p

Job done, murderer killed, no BD for the bitch corposlut, no promotion for the sellout cop, your gonk client can finally rest easy, and you get paid.

I had already done the story side on a previous playthrough and it was... disrespectful of religion, treated death like a sideshow, and tried to make you feel sorry for a murdering bastard who just wanted to go out with flair. Fuck that. He died in the back seat of a cruiser and aint no one gonna remember his ass.

And Johnny is never gonna call him a fucking rebel... what a fucking joke this questline was. Glad I managed to shortcut it.

God I wish I saw this post before I did the quest. By the time I got to the part where I could pick up the hammer I wanted to take it to the forehead of everyone in this quest, especially the main npc (murderer).

A guarantee: dude is dying in the back seat of that police truck on any and every subsequent play through of this quest from here on out.

Thanks. Have to try this. Everything time I tried shooting the target, the gig bugged out, and my client died. Hate it that not even badges their weapons can be disabled.

its a quest where failure is an option.

Also, maybe games need to stop tracking quests, because in a game like this, you are generally not supposed to do quests that you don't want to do.

They make quests for all types of players, and if its not something you are interested in, you don't do it.

maybe create a different tracker, where you put a check mark and say refused.

I love that quest. I hate how stupid V has to be to go through it, but I had a blast
fighting my way naked out of the Scav apartment.
It was hilarious to me.

It reminded me a lot of how Takeshi Kovacs shot his way out naked from the torture chamber they got him to sometime in first season of Altered Carbon. Good times.

The car chase alone makes this gig a slog. I finished it fully as intended on the hardest setting. I think I'll either pass on it or maybe just shoot Jablonsky for a different outcome. It's ridiculous and unsatisfying.

I agree with you about how it starts. I wish it autosaved right before you actually start driving. The fight with Razor is the same way. You have to listen to a lot of dialog before you can restart. You lose your flow, and it's harder to try and correct your mistakes. Really frustrating. I had a love hate relationship with all car chases and races in this game. Liked the Sinnerman story in general, though.
You can save the game right before you sit on the chair and fight razor ,you can have all the dialogue completed besides the pep talk inside the ring with vik which can also be skipped

Yes! I also get that WTF feeling!

Religion is personal.
God is personal.

Not a spectacle, not a piece of throw away entertainment. No ones life will get changed by the BD. It will just be another in a ever descending litany of XBDs that try to stir a buzz in the deadened neurons of the masses.

BUT, even if it could somehow be meaningful, the criminal was not trying to atone for shit and he had not really found God. All he was doing was trying to be remembered for something. He claims he wanted to feel God's love through the agony of the crucifixtion? wtf

The first time i played through this quest chain, i almost felt sorry for him until I stepped back and saw what he was actually trying to do. He was making himself more important than his victims. He was making sure he was immortalised in a BD that would "wake people up" and "change the world" while his victims vanished into obscurity.

His victims families would have to see adverts for the "most intense religious experience ever recorded" with his name on it and the corps would grow fat off their misery.

So, no, he didn't find God or religion otherwise he would have put the needs to the families first and let himself be executed quietly to spare them further suffering.

The WHOLE quest chain was about him getting forgiveness and going out with meaning. And when the mother saw through his self-serving shit and told him to get out, he was dumbfounded as if she was required to forgive him.

Nope.

This guy deserved to die in the back of the cruiser just as ignominiously as he ended the lives of his victims.
When you say God is personal I say salvation is personal but spreading the love of God is something told in the bible for believers to do ,you can't keep things to yourself and think that this is personal I am not telling anyone anything ,in the entire questline I never once got the feeling that he is out for himself trying to show other people who he is but rather a broken man not knowing what to do with his life and trying desperately to atone for his sins . I understand where you come from but not forgiving isn't something thought to us through the bible we have to forgive in order to be forgiven.

Why can't a player shoot Joshua after a car ride?
Even in the car V can say "Still on contract to kill you". But the player can't do that. Why not? This takes away the player's ability to change his mind after the dialogue with Joshua and contradicts the logic of the quest dialogues.

Think ya'll missed the point.
The quest isn't really about religion. It's about a man willing to sacrifice his life to retain some
semblance of his humanity. Yet, he's manipulated by the corpo to fuel her own hedonistic ambition.

She knows the BD won't change a thing. It's just another cash venture for her.
The lesson is a hard one. Late Stage Capitalism is like the wild kingdom. You either
develop that ice cold demeanor this city embodies, or you die retaining your humanity, like Jackie.

Only fools talk about salvation or altruism. And they all end up dead for nothing because they were
too naïve to understand.

Dialogue can't skip, no autosave, can't manual save, the vehicle is so hard to control when chasing in high speed, stupid AI human walking near the road and stupid car driving to me instead of avoiding( or are those suppose to be challenge? ).

I really hate the design of this quest! At least autosave when the quest start or let me skip all those damn dialogue!
Agreed on all points. I just went ahead and failed that quest. I could never catch the other vehicle.

The weather glitch-changes every 50 second or so whenever I bump into another vehicle. Overcast to sunny in a single frame!

The cars that are meant to be an impediment spawn midair and land on the ground before crashing into you.

What a joke!

What broke ass version of the game are you playing? Do you have a SSD or HDD? The quest was cake for me. I wrecked once but totally aced it the second time. Download the driving mods if you're on PC, it makes driving actually fun.

Aside from the truck your driving fishtails like a bat outta hell and can throw you into a 180 and you have to turn around, the vehicles that pull out in front of you I just plowed right through them and kept on going. I mean damn, you practically have a high speed tank there with that huge dually, those little cars that pull out just don't stand a chance. haha

This was my least favorite along with the Razor quest just because of all the senseless dialog. The thing I find most annoying is having to sit there listening to this idiot ramble on about total bullshit. It's almost comical but I mostly find it just an annoying quest altogether.

The nerve of this guy going to that house and talking to the mother and sister of the man he murdered, I'm just surprised they didn't pull out a shotgun and blow his head off, and I would have totally let it happen too.

yup - 100%. Went through it once, but was hoping i could talk him out of it or affect the outcome, but nope, I was just along for the ride - literally and then got to take part in the terrible mockery at the end.

When it was done, i said "nope, not doing that shit again" - now i know how :D

I liked it. I was drawn in. Keeping up with the Police SUV is not hard. I tought it was just going to be a Hitman task.
Then the Client explodes next to me. I tought I shoot the Cop, kill the guy get my money but before I do I hear the dont shoot. Was curious at what was going on. Its not like normally a Prisoner can order a Cop around like that.

Then I entered the SUV confused at what I stumpled into. I was curiose how far the game would let me take this. I tought ok their is no way they would let things get so far we probably hear about in a news story later and thats the end of it. Next thing i know V was nailing someone to a cross. Had to reload a Auto save and tought "Holy shit".
Well done CDPR takes some balls to discuss something like this, especially since they are from a Catholic country.

exactly this. How dare he walk into that woman's house acting all high and mighty now that he 'found god' and acting confused when she didn't buy his crap and forgive him? The most entitled garbage human ever.

Tbh V is intentionally made stupid on ALOT of occasions, the more you play the more you realise it or i did, one minute there Einstein an the next there Mungo from Blazing saddles, it's pretty jarring
