Making Geralt have innate ability to parry arrows

So, I know how to modify Geralt's skills and stats but how can I give him the basic arrow parry ability right from the start?

And if I manage to do it, can I make the skill(the one that parries arrows) just give +crossbow dmg(for exdample) but NOT reflect the arrow back to the attacker(this is too much chuck norris for my taste XD) if you invest 2 or 3 points into it?

You know... to be honest I wonder why half of the skills in the trees exist.
Geralt surely should know how to do most of them innately from basic witcher trainign alone, not to mention his 80 plu syears of experience
