Patch 2.01

+
Well, this was a hot mess.

notable issues.. PC player here.

will list some things, spotted quite a few issues but already set and forgotten most of them, so will list what I can remember.

bugs 2.01.
1. Peralez TV ad (no gunshot audio.. this one since 2.01 absolutely, was fine in 2.0)

2. Regina Jones (visiting her in person, talking to her cuts as the game thinks you're not talking to her at the same time, so could be in mid convo and she would request you to talk, but she proceeds to talk her normal dialogue but seen in text format, >>>can't find a way to better describe it<<< )

3. Tiny Mike (end of mission((gig)), hop in car, as you hop out of car, car becomes invisible as so does the driver also but Tiny Mike is a floating choom with the invisible entity driving him around on the road... note: less major bug.. also kinda funny aswell.)

4. Panam questline... I think (Riders on the Storm) >bug< will show sandstorm with graphical issues that will show the render of the sandstorm doubling >flickering< also to note, I believe this quest also breaks the Night City floating ad towers also. yet to replicate, but 90 hours in doing the EMP mission, everything was fine, so definitely worth replicating from this point on, can't find a fix either (>>>thought BD would reset it, was wrong<<<.)

5. Lower tier cyberware arm slots, though someone on this thread did find a fix though, visit ripperdoc, sell, leave the area, buyback and you're gold/preem... not too bad but it's a known issue.

6. Random locations where there is music vehicles with NC citizens dancing is all >muted< literally... notable locations mainly >>>Badlands<<<

some of the issues I came across that come to mind.

Please CD Projekt Red, I love your game! but since 2.01, I feel like there is a lot of noticeable bugs where the predecessor patch ended up being much smoother, feel like a rollback might be necessary until 2.01... or >2.02< is in a more refined state, because right now, the game has become a much worser state with the new (current patch)

best outcome of 2.01 is the radio audio, vehicle sound muffled, no biggy though because when you're inside a vehicle anyway, the sound of a vehicle should muffle anyway with music playing >regardless if in 3rd person view<, so this is realistic and shouldn't be classed as a bug, simply put, turn off radio to hear the vehicles audio to full potential, it makes sense, so haters be haters for this one, sorry but not sorry fellow gamers hehe.

don't know if you will see this CD Projekt Red, but should you do, please catalogue some of the things I mentioned, I hope it sincerely helps!
Nice list, I noticed some of these as well with 2.01. Make sure to send a report to CDPR, so they know about it: here´s the link to their support- Technical Support — CD PROJEKT RED

Do you think, will the devs ever fix really small bugs like this. A license plate that is not attached to the car. All over the map it's possible to find small bugs, but I don't think they need to be fixed.
Probably not. There are still plenty of day 1 issue unresolved, like several NPC cars spawning into a restaurant and exploding in 1 specific spot. 1 very, very specific and visible spot near a gig.

With the game in the state it is, and the media not watching since PL launched in a *mostly* okay state and they've already consumed it; the chances minute things that bug us will get fixed is nil to none imo. 2.0 was it, that was their big showing. Anything from here on out will be cleaning up the game as they wish and they just made a massive mess of it for anyone with PL installed.

Feels bad man.

so i tested this patch 2.01
when at first i see on the patch fix some improvements and bug fix , i was happy but after a "clean install" of this cyberpunk 2077 2.01 ..
i get my hope lost ...:(

performance getting worst ,
so its seems if you get 12gen cpu or above or a 4090 gpu this game isn't for you xD
i'll wait a log time before to buy the new dlc , ..

Yep, just don't. It's the DLC causing the worst of issues atm.

even the benchmarks isn't anymore accurate
on my setup
at 1080p RT low preset
get 60 fps average
doing this 20 times
cpu/gpu temp all fine 65% , clock speed cpu /gpu , all fine
just load a save on the open world .. all goes wrong , CPU/GPU temp going over 85°c
fps mostly around 50/55 fps

lowering setting , restart the game , same thing , without fix , temp just keep rising
never get those issues on 1.63 ..oO
and now 2.01 i get heavy CPU bottlneck even CPU running at 4.5 Ghz ..

the other difference 2.0 / 2.01 vs 1.63
even on 1.63 if i cap fps 30 , image steel sharp , now on 2.0/2.01 if cap my fps less 45 , the image get very blurry
( tested with all effect off , film grain off , chromatic off , lens flare off , DOF off )

I can't speak to this myself as I have rather strong rig, though I have noticed that several of the ini configurations I used to offer with my mods have impacted performance a great deal more than before. Personally I don't recommend the expansion right because it is in terrible shape. Unlike the basegame, you cannot roll it back and it will wreck things to a unacceptable state.

  • Various crash fixes on PC and consoles.
But sine then i am not allowed to play the game. Before it was everything fine. I dont have any mods installed and i tried already different things. I hope for a hotfix or statement soon.

Hello. I just met Mr. Hands for the first time during the expansion. When I went to talk to him about the mission, he repeated some phrases when talking about the mission, ignoring the conversation. And he was uncomfortable, he sat in an invisible chair. This is very bad. You lose all the immersion of the game. PLEASE FIX THIS!

A feature I’d love to see is the ability to remove the objective marker on the interface settings. I’m sure this is already available on PC but I play on console, it’s just an immersion thing really.

It’d be cool to have the job tracker still active, so on screen it would say ‘get into the locked apartment’ or whatever, but often there’s also a target/objective marker on the screen telling me exactly which window I can break in through. Giving freedom to the player feels kind of irrelevant when there’s constantly a marker telling me where to go. The only way to do this currently is fiddle around with the journal, activating and de activating quests, and it’s clunky,

obviously this wouldn’t be a default option, plenty of people like the guidance, but the ability to disable it would be great.

Mission "Don't loose your mind".
After destroying the core there was no car to approach in the hangar resulting in a mission lock. Quick-load solved the problem.

Mission: Delivery to Los Padres
After defeating Maxtac operators I'm still in fight mode and can't do anything.
The first time I joined the fight Maxtac operators were standing without moving.

  • Players who pre-ordered Phantom Liberty but didn't get the Quadra Sport R-7 "Vigilante" will now receive it.
I just completed Act 1 on XSX. I've still yet to receive the pre-order bonus. Update 2.01 has NOT fixed the issue.

I feel like this patch introduced more bugs than it fixed. Too many bugs to even begin counting. Looks like I'm going to have to put this game off yet again. I just really do not want to put a lot of time and energy into this only to get my immersion broken by constant glitches, bugs and issues. Just when you start to think CDPR has their act together, they come through with yet another banger full of bugs. The real problem is just how many gamebreaking bugs there are. That's the real issue here. Dogtown is a complete mess. The game needs a lot of work and I'm just not here for it. Yet again on the verge of contacting GOG for another refund like I did 3 years ago. Shame.

Peace.

I keep getting an error message that reads:

Cyberpunk 2077 encountered an error caused by a corrupted or missing scripts file and will now be forced to close.

Would you like Steam to verify integrity of game files for Cyberpunk 2077 before the next launch?

Steam notes one file didn't verify and downloads a new copy but the error persists.
Try going to: \Cyberpunk 2077\r6\cache\

And then copy the two files "tweakdb_ep1.bin" and "tweakdb.bin" into the \Cyberpunk 2077\r6\cache\modded\ folder. The files should be in both places. If the modded folder isn't there, create it. Now try to run the game.

Xbox Series S. the auto saves aren’t over writing themselves. Eventually ended up with so many that I couldn’t quick save or auto save without deleting a permanent save. I’ve manually deleted a heap of auto saves. This is very similar to the Witcher 4.0 issue.
Bro, I've tried everything and the same problem kept happening. "Isufficient space". This actually worked, didn't even realize how many auto saves were piled up. Thanks.

It's really not that bad, stop exaggerating. They actually hotfixed some of the issues behind the scenes (like the only being able to call your car/bike once) and then you need to reload bug. And all in all I played 15 hours in the last two days without a single issue. So there's definitely some work being done.
