Patch Notes 11.7

The biggest card drop of 2023 is releasing tomorrow, bringing 36 new cards to the game.

To support the new card drop, we are also making changes to existing cards, as found below.

For a rundown of the most important balance changes and some of the new Scoia'tael cards, make sure to check out the latest Developer Update:
New Features
The Tide Rises - The wheels turn, the waves crash—cities burn while swords clash. The Tide Rises, are you ready for it?

This card drop introduces six new cards to each playable faction.

New Keyword - Might - Trigger this ability if you control a unit with 10 or more power on each of your rows.

New Keyword - Vice - Trigger this ability after you spent the specified amount of Coins, then reset own Counter.

ChangesNeutral
Spring Equinox - Ability changed to:

Doomed.

Boost an allied unit by 0. Increase the boost by 1 for each Nature card other than Spring Equinox in your starting deck.
Monsters
Golyat - Power changed from 10 to 12.

Jotunn - Power changed from 3 to 1.

Provision cost changed from 6 to 8.

Ability changed to:

Deploy: Boost self by the total base power of Ice Giants in your starting deck.

Cyclops - Power changed from 4 to 5.

Ice Troll - Power changed from 4 to 5.

Armor changed from 0 to 2.

Ability changed to:

Might: At the end of your turn, boost self by 1.
Skellige
Crach an Craite - Now also has the Warrior tag.

Wild Boar of the Sea - Power changed from 4 to 6.

An Craite Armorsmith - Provision cost changed from 4 to 5.

Ability changed to:

Deploy: Boost an allied unit by the amount of Armor on the highest-Armor unit in your hand.

An Craite Greatsword - Now also has Veteran.

Highland Warlord - Added VFX to the Deploy ability.
Northern Realms
Queen Meve - Now also has the Aristocrat tag.

Ability changed to:

Deploy: Reduce the Timer by 1 for each adjacent unit with an Inspired ability.

Timer 3: Boost all allied units by 1 and reset the Timer.

Whenever this unit receives a boost, gain 1 Armor.

All the other Kings and Queens (including Ildiko) - Now also have the Aristocrat tag.
Scoia'tael
Spring - Ability changed to:

Manual activation of a face-down Trap. Spring is activated automatically on a Trap played next to an artifact. Cards with Spring are flipped over after use.

Éibhear Hattori - Power changed from 2 to 6.

Provision cost changed from 9 to 6.

Ability changed to:

Whenever you play an artifact, boost the lowest-power allied unit by 3.

Iorveth - Power changed from 4 to 6.

Iorveth's Gambit - Added new part of ability:

If you have 6 or more Traps in your starting deck, play 2 of your choice instead.
Nilfgaard
Ard Feainn Heavy Cavalry - Provision cost changed from 5 to 4.
Syndicate
No changes.
Game Fixes
Friendly challenges are once again functional on Steam.

Stratagems, especially Tactical Advantage, will no longer play tricks on your eyes.

Acid Spit's Infusion no longer fails to spread when the power is set to 1 by Wolfsbane or Vincent Meis.
 
Edit For what NR need aristocrat tag? For NG asimilation? you want destroy this game totaly? WHERE ARE NERFS NERFS NERFS for NG? Half of the NG cards need nerfs - over half of this cards need to have proviosion 15 or more with this new tactic this game will become unplayable, or at least give us possibility to ban fraction on matchmaking.

Fine change to Equinox, though it makes the Protector a bad card again. (Warlord is fine though, of course, gets an vfx instead of a nerf, lmao)

Don't mind the Spring change, either, even though it's also a nerf. Makes playing traps a bit more interesting. Will see if the new support will also make them viable enough to offset this.

Iorveth Gambit suddenly feels like a 12p card. Going to be interesting trying to fit all of the new trap-related cards into a deck.

Nice, new cards! I'll stop my comment here, cause i cannot find anything positive to remark about this garbage patch and giving certain cards Aristocrat tag is just showing that you love Nilfgaard a lot. Why not give Crone tag to all Crones? Why just the Aristocrat tag? Explain me this! Biased NG devs?

Deploy: Spawn and Play a copy of all the non-Disloyal units you gave Spying to during this game, excluding self.

Hey Devs, please make this change before the end of the year. Nilfgaard needs to be improved, it's too weak as it stands, and nobody is using this faction.

Seems pretty likely that when the NR reveals are made there will be a new archetype involving the Aristocrat tag. If not, in the near future. That's the way it usually goes.

C'mon guys, what were you expecting?
They forgot about the game about a year go, or maybe two years.
Why would anyone expect anything good now?
Of course! especially if you are about to release the last components for a game, you do your best effort to leave the game in its best state possible.
But NG, SK, and NR are dominating the meta.... Might is a condition that is easy to cancel, MO is always prone to have this absurd setup requirement Insect spawn, Aquelarre, Might, Frost, Beelding, Too many points slam R3 Units....

In contrast, NG requires little to zero setups to Steal card, Cancel effects, and interrupt opponent tempo.

Looking at the pre-release balance changes, Enraged Cyclops must now be the MO card getting nerfed fastest.

Stupid me thinks game would become a bit more like in back the early days with every "balancing". Instead it gets more boring meta again and again. No wonder the game will soon no longer be supported. Still play it, still refusing meta decks.

any particular reason the number of wins is no longer shown on the player profile and instead you chose to show (what seems to be) the cycle progress instead?
Do you think we wont be able to recognize griefers and rank system abusers?
Or are you maybe trying to incite people to do the same? i.e. stay at rank 8-15 after playing since beta and hope to match up and abuse new players
Ladder and match making make no sense, at least to me since 90% of the time i match with people with over 3x my number of games
And its disappointing if hiding the number of games was the chosen solution instead of reworking the algorithm

Watch out for that Spring as you play the Gambit, haha. Trippy stuff. Also, pretty sure Sticky Situation flips when opponent "spawns" a unit instead of "playing" it, too.
 
Agree.... would be better that they keep the Purify row effect and add another effect like "Units suffer 1 damage per each condition removed by purify ".
Yeah please change it back.
I even used it quite good in a rats-monster deck to give mourntart a good meal. Now its rather boring and also basically a ST card

Easy. You see the number of wins in the bottom right corner of the profile. :coolstory:
