Solution for NPC pop in on PC?

Hi all,

I am not long into Velen, but I'm finding I'm getting NPC pop in when enter the more heavily populated areas (something I didn't notice in White Orchard). Wondered if anyone had suggestions for reducing this with tweaks on PC? I'm otherwise running the game without issue at a mostly stable 60 FPS on a combination of ultra and high settings.

Yup same problem here. I've arrived at completely deserted villages only for people to magically appear seconds later. Doesn't help immersion.

I have noticed this too after leaving White Orchard. My rig isn't the fastest (i7 870, GTX 750Ti, game files on SSD) which I thought could be the reason but I am not noticing pop elsewhere.

I have a GTX Titan 6gb and the same thing happens here. And I have pop. density at Ultra....

There are several threads about this in the tech support forums. What I think is that depending on your configuration, the patch releases are somehow messing with certain settings in the game.

My advice is:

1) Use the verify function to make sure none of the game files are damaged or corrupt.

2) Delete your user.ini files, which you can find in the documents folder.

3) Start the game and re-enter all of your settings..

Hopefully this will clear out any problems caused by the patch updates.
